Scholarships for sport "Swimming"

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA High School graduating senior who is a Kalamazoo County resident or enrolled in a Kalamazoo County high school. Must be planning to enroll in an accredited college/university as a full-time student in the fall. Must have demonstrated dedication and commitment to competitive swimming or diving at either the high school or club level and to his/her education with a minimum 3.00 GPA.

The Jim Cristy Swimming Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students who desire to participate in Kalamazoo County competitive swimming programs, but need financial assistance to do so. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Students who are Kalamazoo County residents or attend an elementary middle or high school within Kalamazoo County are eligible to apply. Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident Alien. Must be recommended by a professional employee in their school system or a swimming instructor and meet academic eligibility standards for participation in athletics as defined by his or her school system (middle school and high schools students only). Must demonstrate financial need.

The Linda Riddle/SGMA Endowed Scholarship was established in honor of Linda Riddle, whose life exemplified the principles of good sportsmanship and fairness, competition and courage. Its goal is to provide young female athletes of limited financial means the opportunity to continue to pursue their sport in addition to their college studies.
