Scholarship Description

Modern Woodmen of America Scholarship Fund was established by the Duluth Camp No. 2341 Modern Woodmen of America to provide assistance to the non-traditional student in financial need.Application Instructions:Qualified Students (last half or their degree at UMD, CSS or LSC with ‘probable success in course of study’, and primary caregiver to one or more children) should complete & submit the DSACF Common Application by the deadline day. A complete application will also include an academic transcript (including standardized test scores), two recommendations and financial need documentation.Selection Criteria:The Scholarship Committee of the Community Foundation will select individual scholarship recipients. They will base their decision on the applicant’s academic record, written recommendations and involvement in community and church activities.Awards Given from the Fund:One scholarship (of about $1000/year), co-payable to the student and institution will be awarded each year. Generally, this annual award is divided into two installments—half for fall, half for spring. It is not renewable.
