Scholarship Description

1. The applicant must be in preparation for placement in Special Education or have already been assigned to that work.  Special Education is considered here to include teacher training for work with the mentally, physically and emotionally handicapped person.  Applicant shall be entering at least the junior or senior year of college or in the case of clergy and religious, post graduate study.*  2. Teacher training in any of the above or related fields may be pursued at any accredited public or private university or college where bona fide special educational courses are offered.  3. There is no stipulation as to the overall length of time spent in pursuing training in Special Education.  However, applicants for scholarship must give evidence that they will earn a minimum of three credit hours during any specified semester.  *Post graduate study also applies to students in college in the state of California, Canada and Virginia.
