Scholarship Description
High school seniors and/or transfer students must have a 3.5 grade point average, must be pursuing a degree in the College of Engineering, and maintain full-time enrollment status. Recipients must be a U.S. citizen. Selection will also be based on ACT or SAT scores. One scholarship of $1,500 each semester will be offered for four years and is based solely on academic merit and is not dependent upon financial need. Continued eligibility is based upon Fall/Winter attendance for four academic years. The student must be enrolled as a full-time student each of the academic year terms (minimum of 12 credit hours each for Fall and Winter semesters) completing a minimum of 24 credits each year that count toward the degree requirement of the engineering program, and with a grade of C or better in each course. All courses applying toward the engineering degree must be taken at Wayne State University. The student must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. The student must re-apply for the scholarship prior to the start of each academic year.
