Scholarship Description
The engineering program, which leads to the Bachelor of Engineering degree, attracts 60% of the current student body. A key component of the Stevens program is the design spine - a sequence of design courses each semester that integrates all courses. Freshmen take core courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science and humanities. As sophomores, students choose one of nine concentrations: Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Management, Mechanical, Naval, and Information Systems. Dual and accelerated degree programs, including a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree, as well as various minors, are also available. All seniors are responsible for a 10-credit design project. High achieving undergraduates are considered for various engineering honor societies and the Stevens Scholars Program.
Terms: Two four-year scholarships, worth at least $6,000 annually, in any field of engineering. Recipients must maintain a “B” average for this scholarship to continue past the freshman year.
