Scholarship Description
$2,000 each for two professors. These awrds will be unrestricted and are to be used at the discretion of the honorees. The successful candidate will: 1. Teach full-time within a department of speech communication in an accredited university. 2. Demonstrate an academically-oriented commitment to the understanding of the spoken word by the individual and society. 3. Show commitment through effective undergraduate or graduate teaching courses in public speaking, presentations, public speaking ethics, etc. And/or through research that has a direct reference to increased understanding of public speaking or presentations.
