Scholarship Description
Successful applicants describe how their nursing practice will change as a result of the pursuant degree. Additionally, the baccalaureate applicant describes contributions to acute or critical care nursing which include work, community and profession-related activities. In addition, applicants must have/be: - AACN member in good standing. - Active RN license. - Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. - Currently working in critical care or have worked in critical care for at least one year in the last three years (Full time or an equivalent equal to 1950 hours). - Previous recipients of the Educational Advancement Scholarship are eligible to reapply, but may receive only two scholarships, one per year. - Members of the Board of Directors, AACN staff and AACN volunteers participating in the application review process are ineligible. - Junior/upper division status for the following fall semester. - Currently enrolled in an NLN or CCNE accredited baccalaureate degree program in nursing.
