Scholarship Description
The Iowa Grant is available to assist Iowa students attending Regent Universities, independent colleges and universities and community colleges throughout Iowa. Priority is given to students whose parent was a public safety worker that was killed in the line of duty. The maximum grant for priority recipients is the average resident tuition rate at Iowa Regent Universities; the maximum grant for non-priority recipients is $1,000 per year for up to four years of full-time, undergraduate study (adjusted for less than full-time enrollment).
How it Works
All applicants must complete a FAFSA to be considered for the Iowa Grant. Students who are in the priority group (parent was a public safety worker that was killed in the line of duty) must also complete the Supplemental Application.
Supplemental applications are reviewed by Iowa College Aid and recipients are notified by their college/university if they will receive an award.
All other applicants are awarded based on the results of your FAFSA and are notified by their college/university if they will receive an award.
