Scholarship Description
The scholarship is intended to provide total financial support for highly-motivated minority students (African-American, Asian-American, Hispanic, Native American and people of color) who are citizens for four years of study who wish to pursue a career in the newspaper industry. This scholarship is for four-years of study in any one of the following areas of study: Journalism, Mass Communications, Economics, English, Accounting, Political Science, History, Public Policy, Urban Studies, Advertising. Cox Enterprises Inc., a multi media company headquartered in Atlanta, offers a full paid, four year scholarship to high school seniors who will graduate from the metro school system served by one of the following newspapers: West Palm Beach Post (Florida), Austin-American Statesman (Texas), and Atlanta Journal-Constitution (Georgia). Only one scholarship is offered each calendar year and only one newspaper is selected to administer the program.
