The DigitalGlobe Foundation Award for the Application of High-Resolution Digital Satellite Imagery

Scholarship Description

Purpose:

To support remote sensing education and stimulate the development of applications of high-resolution digital satellite imagery for applied research by undergraduate or graduate students.

Eligibility:

Full time undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited college or university in the USA or Canada with image processing facilities appropriate for conducting the proposed work.
Student member of ASPRS

Award:
A grant of satellite imagery data up to 500 square kilometers (potential value of up to $20,000), and a certificate inscribed with the recipient’s name.
This award is presented by the ASPRS Foundation, with funding provided by The DigitalGlobe Foundation.
DigitalGlobe will consider additional recipients per year based on the selection committee’s recommendation of an additional candidate’s merit.

Level of Imagery
The 500 square kilometers will be limited IKONOS and GeoEye-1 imagery from the DigitalGlobe archive and can be the following product types:

IKONOS (1M Panchromatic, 4M Multispectral, or 1M Pansharpenend Multispectral)
Geo
Geo Stereo (US only)
GeoProfessional (Ortho, US only)
GeoEye-1 (0.50-meter Panchromatic, 2-meter Multispectral, or 0.50-meter Pansharpenend Multispectral)
Geo
Geo Stereo (US only)
GeoProfessional (Ortho, US only)
