The James H. Moller, M.D., Heart Scholarship

Scholarship Description

The Purpose:
This scholarship was established to honor the outstanding, lifelong commitment demonstrated by Dr. Moller to the American
Heart Association’s mission of reducing disability and death from cardiovascular disease and stroke. This scholarship will
enable a medical student to participate in health science research at a Minnesota institution and to explore the field of
research as a career.

Who Is Eligible:
Minnesota Students Only: Medical students registered at a teaching institution in the State of Minnesota are eligible for this
award.

How The Scholar Is Selected:
The scholar will be chosen on merit by an American Heart Association, Midwest Affiliate Committee of medical and/or scientific
professionals.

The Scholarship:
The successful candidate will receive a stipend of $1200 for a period of full-time research (usually three months duration) with
the sponsor.

How Candidates Apply:
Candidates must submit the appropriate form and complete all other requirements.
Applications must be fully completed to receive consideration.
