Scholarship Description
The American Heart Association is working with partners to provide scholarships that allow students to explore the field of cardiovascular research as a career by providing opportunities to work with researchers at Minnesota institutions.
Who is eligible?
Minnesota students only. One scholarship is for undergraduate students currently enrolled in a four year college or university in the State of Minnesota; three scholarships are for medical students registered at a teaching institution in the State of Minnesota.
How many will be selected?
This year, there is one undergraduate award and three medical student awards.
How are the scholars selected?
The scholars will be chosen on merit by an American Heart Association, Midwest Affiliate committee of medical professionals and lay people. Notification of the scholarship award will be made in spring.
