Scholarship Description
Minimum Eligibility Criteria
Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census
Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply
Be enrolling in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall.
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED
Must apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15
Submit one letter of recommendation online.
Plan to pursue a degree that will lead to a career in the health field. Scholarship recipients must be majoring in a health field to receive renewal scholarships
Demonstrate the intent to work in an underserved community
Preference for students fluent in an Asian or Pacific Islander language
Students must reside in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, KS, MN, NC, NM, NV, NY, TN, TX, WA or WI
Preference for students who intend to transfer from a 2-year to a 4-year institution
Enrolling as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student in the upcoming academic year
