Scholarship Description
The scholarship was established through a bequest from the estate of Danial and Joeanna Smith for the purpose of providing educational scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are permanent residents of Van Buren County and who are planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college/university.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Graduating high school senior who is a resident of Van Buren County. Must be enrolled or planning to enroll, as a freshman, full time in a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year college or university. Must have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA and participation in extracurricular activities. Must demonstrate financial need.
