Scholarship Description
The Heritage Scholarship was the Ouimet Fund’s first inner-city scholarship and it has spawned eight inner-city endowedscholarships within the Ouimet Fund since it was created in 2001. Heritage winners can come from Boston, Chelsea, Fall River,Holyoke, Lawrence, Lowell, New Bedford, Somerville, Springfield, and Worcester.To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have completed at least two years service to golf as caddies, helpers in the pro shop, or course superintendent operations at a club in Massachusetts. The awards are “need-based” and assist with tuition at accredited undergraduate institutions.
