Scholarship Description
The Garry Scholarship was established upon the death of Dr. Jack Garry in 2006 by members of the Essex County Club, where he was a long time member. Dr. Garry was one of the original Par Club (later Ouimet Society) members and a strong Ouimet supporter.To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have completed at least two years service to golf as caddies, helpers in the pro shop, or course superintendent operations at a club in Massachusetts. The awards are “need-based” and assist with tuition at accredited undergraduate institutions.
