Scholarship Description
This award was established in 1999 and is the second largest endowment established through the Ouimet Fund. It was established by the late Mr. Raymond Faxon and is for Ouimet Scholars from Cape Cod. Mr. Faxon had been a very successful investor who was also involved in golf for many years. He founded or managed several caddie camps on the Cape when he was young.To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have completed at least two years service to golf as caddies, helpers in the pro shop, or course superintendent operations at a club in Massachusetts. The awards are “need-based” and assist with tuition at accredited undergraduate institutions.
