Scholarship Description
The Irving L. Adler Scholarship was established in 2007 as an 80th birthday present by friends, family and business associates of Mr. Adler. He is a founder of Adler, Blanchard and Freeman, LLP and a longtime member of Spring Valley Country Club. He had been a Ouimet Society member for many years and is the father of Scott Adler, Ouimet Fund Treasurer. The Adler Scholarship is for a Ouimet Scholar preparing for a career in education or nursing.To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have completed at least two years service to golf as caddies, helpers in the pro shop, or course superintendent operations at a club in Massachusetts. The awards are “need-based” and assist with tuition at accredited undergraduate institutions.
