Scholarship Description
Middletown Community Foundation has scholarships available for students who are already attending a technical school, college or university and have at least one full academic semester or two academic quarters to complete before attaining an undergraduate degree. Scholarships are not renewable but students may reapply the following year for an upperclassmen scholarship. Most scholarships range from $500 to $2,500 per academic year based on college costs and student needs. The number of recipients and amount of each scholarship are determined by the Foundation. All decisions are final. How to Qualify: To qualify a student must: Have been graduated from or received a high school equivalency diploma from a high school in greater Middletown: Bishop Fenwick, Butler Tech, Edgewood, Franklin, Madison, Monroe, Middletown, and Middletown Christian High Schools. Graduates of a private school outside of the area must have lived in the Middletown, Edgewood, Franklin, Madison or Monroe public school districts during high school. Have completed at least one full year of post-high school education. Not be receiving another scholarship from the Foundation. Demonstrate academic success and financial need. How to Apply Students who meet the above qualifications should complete the Foundation’s Upperclassmen Scholarship Application and submit it accompanied by two letters of recommendation.
