Scholarship Description
Established to provide scholarships to Jewish students in need to enable them to attend the university or college of their choice. To qualify for consideration, the applicant must have resided in the area served by the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas or in Smith County for at least a year prior to the application deadline. One scholarship of $2,800.00 will be awarded. Candidates must be enrolled for a full year with a minimum of 12 credits per semester. Financial need (60%), academic merit (20%), and community involvement (20%) will be considered. Education level: undergraduate students GPA: 2.75 Test Scores: SAT1000 Areas of involvement: Religious studies, camps, trips, retreats and organizations. Community/civic activities. School-related activities. Hours enrolled/semester: 12 Giving primarily to residents of the area served by the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas or in Smith County Texas for at least one year.
