The Bill Jayson Jewish Studies Scholarship

Scholarship Description

Established by Dr. Hal Jayson in loving memory of his Father, Bill Jayson, who served as an inspiration to him and to many others in the Dallas Jewish community, to provide scholarships for undergraduate or graduate level students who have demonstrated an interest in or are currently enrolled in a formal Jewish studies program. Financial need (60%), academic merit (20%), and community involvement (20%) will be considered. One $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded. The grant shall not be limited to tuition, but may cover all education related expenses. Education level: Jewish undergraduate and graduate students GPA: 3.0 Test Scores: GRE v 540 q 640 a 600 or GMAT v 32 q 35 or equivalent Area of study: Jewish Communal Service Areas of involvement: Jewish studies, camps, trips, retreats and organizations. Community/civic activities. School-related activities. Hours enrolled/semester: 12/undergraduate 9/graduate. Giving primarily in Texas.
