Scholarship Description
The fund will provide scholarship assistance to help defray expenses for vocational and/or technical post-secondary educational courses or other such training that would help the recipients attain, sustain or expand their employability by learning new technical skills or trades. Recipients may use scholarship awards to take courses at accredited educational institutions, both for-profit and not-for-profit. Among applicants who meet all criteria, preference will be given to applicants who are currently employed in the manufacturing field, or who has a parent who is currently employed by a manufacturing company. Eligibility: A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), experience working in a technical trade, vocation or manufacturing job; or a demonstrated aptitude for a technical trade and/or vocation. Financial need is a consideration, but is not a requirement.
