Scholarship Description
This scholarship was established by Mary Houliston MacDonald. Mary wanted to make it possible for women to have the means to receive or complete their education or training in order to be independent. Eligibility for this scholarship, applicant must meet: (Amount of scholarship varies, depending on enrollment status.) 1. Be a woman, 28 years of age or older 2. Have been abandoned by her husband or be currently single because she is widowed or divorced 3. Be a U.S. citizen 4. Be a resident of Broward County 5. Plan to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school 6. Demonstrate financial need 7. Have an accumulated GPA of 2.0, if currently attending school 8. This scholarship can only be applied to tuition and books
