This scholarship is awarded to Emergency Department Employee who has been accepted into a nursing program. Eligible emergency department employees include but are not limited to – emergency medical technicians, clerical coordinators, CNA’s, registration clerks, etc. Requirements: Applicant must be pursuing an associate or baccalaureate degree in nursing. The applicant will be required to include a letter from the Emergency Department nurse director/manager stating the applicant’s interest in emergency nursing. Applicant must also provide proof of at least one year emergency department employment. Applicants do not need to be a member of ENA, but a letter of reference is required from a current ENA member.General Eligibility:? A minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for consideration. Applicants must be attending a NLN or AACN accredited school and must provide verification of the schools current accreditation. Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to reapply under the same category. However, qualified previous recipients may apply for the next category.
