Lincoln Electric Scholarship

Scholarship Description

ELIGIBILITY:  Pursuing fifteen week advanced welding course.  Scholarship recipient must attend welding courses at Lincoln Electric’s Cleveland, Ohio, plant.  Recipient pays for temporary housing – housing list provided upon request.  Protective gear may be purchased at the school for special student prices.  The award covers the full tuition cost for Lincoln Electric’s ?Comprehensive Welding Program,? designed to instruct welders in arc welding safety and all the common welding processes, including SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (flux-cored). Course also covers pipe welding, oxy-fuel and plasma arc cutting and alloy and hardfacing welding. Students spend about 20% of their time in the classroom and 80% in the booth, with more than 400 hours of total hands-on instruction.AWARD: One advanced 15-week course scholarship for the advanced welders valued at $4,300 in the form of tuition reduction. Non-renewable.
