Scholarship Description
This fund memorializes Laura Dowsett who was instrumental in creating the first occupational therapy program in Hawai’i. She was the director of the occupational therapy department at Queens Hospital for 16 years. She also founded the Occupational Therapy Association of Hawai’i and served as its president for seven years.
Requirements:
Be in an Occupational Therapy program.
Be a college junior, senior or graduate student.
Be a full time student.
Demonstrate financial need.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii.
Maintain a minimum 2.7 GPA.
