Scholarship Description
This fund was set up by the granddaughter of Arthur Jackman, a man who came to this country in the early 1900s and built his business working from the bottom up in the steel industry. The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to students seeking training specifically to gain employment. Career & Technical programs include (but are not limited to) culinary arts, auto repair, diesel mechanics, business technology, carpentry, and a certificate or associates in nursing.
Requirements:
Residents of the island of Hawaii.
Enrolled in an AS or AAS career and technical degree program at Hawaii Community College.
Demonstrate financial need
Be a full time student
Maintain a minimum 2.7 GPA
Preference for renewals
