Scholarship Description
Alma White was a long-time teacher and principal in Hawai’i. When she died, she left a great part of her assets to the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Delta Chapter, of which she was a member. The Society is an educational society dedicated to the advancement of women educators. The Chapter members established this scholarship which will enable future generations of Hawai’i students to pursue teaching as their life’s calling.
Requirements:
Major in Education.
Be a college junior, senior or graduate student.
Applicants must submit a letter from their school confirming enrollment in the Education program.
Two letters of recommendation required.
Be a resident of the State of Hawaii
Be a full-time student
Maintain a minimum 2.7 GPA
