The Anthony Quinn Foundation

About the Anthony Quinn Scholarship Program Organized as a vehicle to perpetuate Anthony Quinn’s vision for an art conscious society, the Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship Program raises and distributes funds for arts education. The Scholarship Program focuses on the Visual Arts & Design, Performing Arts, Media Arts, and Literary Arts for young adults in high school. Scholarship recipients can apply Foundation funds to any recognized pre-college, summer or after-school arts education program. Funds awarded will be sent directly to the pre-college, summer or after-school arts education program designated by the student. The Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship cannot be used for secondary school or college tuition. Criteria The Scholarship Program is for young adults in high school who demonstrate exceptional talent and dedication with a strong commitment to personal artistic growth and who will benefit verifiably from financial support. The Foundation makes an effort to distribute the funds evenly across the fields of focus: Visual Arts & Design, Performing Arts, Media Arts, and Literary Arts. Scholarships are awarded competitively. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges in order to select scholarship recipients. Judges are practicing artists, arts educators, and experts in the various fields of focus, completely independent from the Foundation’s Board/staff, and geographically dispersed throughout the United States. How to apply for funding The Anthony Quinn Scholarship Program and is for young adults in high school for use towards a recognized pre-college, summer or after-school arts education program which emphasizes study in the following areas: Visual Arts & Design Performing Arts Media Arts Literary Arts Scholarships range from $1,000 to $3,000. The applicant and the nominator (a teacher, advisor, or other adult outside the applicant’s family) will work on the application together and will provide by the deadline a completed Application Form. To nominate a student, please fill out an Application Form.

The Whitaker Foundation Scholarship Fund

The Frederic Whitaker and Eileen Monaghan Whitaker Foundation (The Whitaker Foundation) is proud announce the Fall 2018 round of its nationwide Art Scholarship Program, The Whitaker Foundation Scholarship Fund. The Foundation intends to support art students with a special emphasis on watercolor and museum studies/art history and to help them meet the diverse needs of today's professional art and museum world. Through the application process facilitated by The Whitaker Foundation, students are required to gain knowledge of the Whitakers' works through their submitted essays or watercolor paintings. Once the students' works/essays are evaluated, winners will be selected, and the scholarships will be awarded for Fall semester of 2018. 3 Scholarships are being offered: · Two (2) $2,000 Bachelor of Fine Art scholarships (or BA majoring in Art/Art History) · One (1) $2,000 Bachelor of Museum Studies scholarships (or BA with Museum Major/Art History) ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must be an undergraduate student at a national accredited degree granting institution working towards a Bachelors degree in Fine Art, Art History, or Museum Studies 2. Must be a student in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA 3. Must be an American Citizen (with an American passport) or a legal resident (with a green card) of the United States. Scholarship winners will be asked to submit their social security numbers. 4. Must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT SHOULD THEY BE SELECTED FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP. ALL BACHELOR OF FINE ART APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT IMAGES OF TWO ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS. ALL WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS MUST BE PAINTED AFTER JANUARY 1ST 2017. ALL ART HISTORY AND ALL MUSEUM STUDIES APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT AN ESSAY.

Arts Scholarship Program

The Arts Scholarship Fund, founded in 1999, awards scholarships to high school students who demonstrate an interest in pursuing an education and/or career in any of the various fields of the arts including the performance of music, drama, dance, and the creativity of visual art such as fine art and graphic design. Award Amount: $1,000 Max. Projected # of Awards: 1 - 2

Whether it’s playing an instrument, a physical talent, or any other special skill you have, we want to hear how it’s progressed throughout your life. We want to know who has helped you grow your skills and encouraged you to keep working on your ability. Tell us about how you’ve pushed yourself to get better and why. A $500 tuition scholarship will be awarded once a year to the winning submission.

Established by Shannon Bradford to provide scholarships to students pursuing further education in art studies.

Justin Moon Memorial Scholarship

Established in memory of Justin Moon to provide support to Paoli graduates attending trade or technical school or pursuing an education in visual arts.

Catherine W. Pierce Scholarship

Catherine W. Pierce scholarship was established to support students who are majoring in disciplines within the Arts and/or History. Mrs. Pierce had a great interest in helping deserving students pursue the fields of Art or History. The award amount is up to $5,000. Levy Production Group’s “Rising Star in Production” Scholarship

This scholarship is for a video production student who needs funds to pay for his or her education. Demonstrating need and having at least a 3.0 GPA are requirements. Please visit our website for more information.

R. Walker Geitner III Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility Graduate or graduating senior of Asheville High School who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in film, video production, visual or performing arts. Selection Criteria Strong moral character Emphasis on consistent and strong performance in the chosen discipline(film, video, visual or performing arts) Special achievements and/or recognition in film, video or the arts Academic ability/achievement in other subjects will be considered Financial need Community service (contributions to school and community) Extracurricular activities/work experience Application Procedure To apply, students must complete an application online. Washington Scholarship for the Arts, the Horse and a Whole Lot More!

To be eligible: Must be currently enrolled or will be enrolling in a recognized art program within the current calendar year. GPA may be submitted; however, the scholarship will be awarded based on creativity and not with a focus on GPA. Supporting materials include: Describe, in whatever medium you choose, the creative journey that has led you to submit this application. You may submit this description in written, oral or an art media form of your choice (JPEG, audio, YouTube video, etc.). If you choose to submit a media file, please upload to Youtube.com or any other video-sharing website, copy and post link in the 'Student Essay Questions' portion of the application process. IFDA Leaders Commemorative Scholarship

Open To Currently Enrolled, Full-Time Undergraduate Students, Extra Credit For Volunteer Work/Leadership The IFDA Educational Foundation established this scholarship, supported by the Georgia Chapter, to honor a past or present leader for commitment and service to the Georgia Chapter. Each year the scholarship honors a different individual whose name and contributions will be posted on the IFDA/EF website. This scholarship is available to any undergraduate student enrolled in an interior design or related program. The student must be involved with volunteer or community service and have held leadership positions during the past five years. ELIGIBILITY/GUIDELINES All applicants must have completed four design courses in post-secondary education at the time of application and be majoring in Interior Design or a related field. The completed application packet must include a sealed transcript of course work that verifies full-time status and shows your GPA. Transcript may be sent separately.

IFDA Part-Time Student Scholarship

Open To Currently Enrolled, Part-Time Undergraduate Students The IFDA Educational Foundation Board of Trustees added a scholarship for a part-time undergraduate student enrolled in a continuing interior design or related program at an accredited school. Applications accepted each year between March 1 and postmarked no later than March 31. Winner will be notified by July 31. See application form for further requirements. ELIGIBILITY/GUIDELINES All applicants must have completed four design courses in post-secondary education at the time of application and be majoring in Interior Design or a related field. The scholarship applicant must be currently enrolled in at least two courses as a part-time student. The completed application packet must include a sealed transcript of course work that verifies part-time status and shows your GPA. Transcript may be sent separately.
