Here are some of the Pharmacy scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

J.C. and Rheba Cobb Memorial Scholarship

The NCPA Foundation J.C. and Rheba Cobb Memorial Scholarship will be made on the basis of the following priorities: * Leadership Qualities: Potential candidates will be evaluated by the NCPA Foundation Scholarship Awards Committee on the basis of leadership qualities and accomplishments with a demonstrated interest in independent pharmacy, as well as involvement in extracurricular activities. These qualities will be measured by the required supporting documents. * Academic Achievement: High Scholarship is necessary condition for consideration of the award. Academic Achievement will be measured using college transcripts. * Demonstrated Interest In Government Affairs: The applicant must provide a separate one page description of his or her demonstrated interest in government activities. These qualities will be measured by the required supporting documents.Eligibility All pharmacy students who are student members of NCPA are eligible to apply for ONE of the NCPA Foundation Scholarships per academic year. The student must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy on a full-time basis during the academic term that the scholarship is awarded. Note: Students may only receive this award one time.Children of NCPA Foundation Officers, NCPA Officers, or NCPA Executive Committee members are not eligible to participate in the program.

Willard B. Simmons Sr. Memorial Scholarship

The NCPA Foundation Willard B. Simmons Sr. Memorial Scholarship will be made on the basis of the following priorities * Leadership Qualities: Potential candidates will be evaluated by the NCPA Foundation Scholarship Awards Committee on the basis of leadership qualities and accomplishments with a demonstrated interest in independent pharmacy, as well as involvement in extracurricular activities. These qualities will be measured by the required supporting documents. * Academic Achievement: Scholastic success is a necessary condition for consideration of the award and will be measured using current college transcripts. * Demonstrated Interest Independent Pharmacy Management: The applicant must provide a separate one page description of his or her demonstrated interest in independent pharmacy management and entrepreneurism. These qualities will be measured by the required supporting documents.EligibilityAll pharmacy students who are student members of NCPA are eligible to apply for ONE of the NCPA Foundation Scholarships per academic year. The student must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy on a full-time basis during the academic term that the scholarship is awarded. Note: Students may only receive this award one time.Children of NCPA Foundation Officers, NCPA Officers, or NCPA Executive Committee members are not eligible to participate in the program.

Partners in Pharmacy

The Partners in Pharmacy Scholarship will be made on the basis of the following priorities: * Leadership Qualities: Potential candidates will be evaluated by the PIP Scholarship Committee on the basis of leadership qualities and accomplishments with a demonstrated interest in independent pharmacy, as well as involvement in extracurricular activities. These qualities will be measured by the required supporting documents. * Academic Achievement: Scholastic success is a necessary condition for consideration of the award and will be measured using current college transcripts. * Demonstrated Interest: Scholarships are awarded to students based on career goals and objectives and established interest in independent pharmacy as a career option.EligibilityAll pharmacy students who are student members of NCPA are eligible to apply for the Partners in Pharmacy Scholarship per academic year. The student must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy on a full-time basis during the academic term that the scholarship is awarded. Note: Students may only receive this award one time.Children of Partners in Pharmacy Officers, NCPA Foundation Officers, NCPA Officers, or NCPA Executive Committee members are not eligible to participate in the program.

Neil Pruitt Sr. Memorial Scholarship

The NCPA FOUNDATION NEIL PRUITT SR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP will be made on the basis of the following priorities:LEADERSHIP QUALITIES - Potential candidates will be evaluated by the NCPA Foundation Scholarship Awards Committee on the basis of leadership qualities and accomplishments with a demonstrated interest in independent pharmacy, as well as involvement in extracurricular activities. These qualities will be measured by the required supporting documents.ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT - Scholastic success is a necessary condition for consideration of the award and will be measured using current college transcripts.*DEMONSTRATED INTEREST IN ENTREPRENEURISM - The applicant must provide a separate one page description of his or her demonstrated interest in entrepreneurism. These qualities will be measured by the required supporting documents.EligibilityAll pharmacy students who are student members of NCPA are eligible to apply for ONE of the NCPA Foundation Scholarships per academic year. The student must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy on a full-time basis during the academic term that the scholarship is awarded. In addition, the student must provide the following materials with the completed application: * A copy of the most recent official transcript of his or her college grades. * A letter from a school official familiar with the student's activities. This letter should briefly describe the student's extracurricular accomplishments, leadership qualities and contributions to the school. * A letter from a pharmacy owner or manager, preferably an NCPA member. This letter should briefly describe the student's extracurricular accomplishments, leadership qualities, contributions to the profession of pharmacy and pharmacist's knowledge of applicant's interest in independent pharmacy as a career. * A letter from the applicant to the NCPA Foundation Scholarship Awards Committee outlining his or her school and civic accomplishments and objectives for the future. Must provide a separate one-page description of his or her demonstrated interest in entrepreneurism. * A résumé or curriculum vitae describing the student's work and professional experience.

Health Careers Scholarship Program

The Health Careers Scholarship Program was started in May 1976. It is supported through individual contributions of the Order's members. Since there is no set budget, the number of scholarships available may vary from year to year.Students preparing for careers in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physical or occupational therapy, and medical technologies are eligible to apply. A student must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen, enrolled full time in a school accredited in the field involved and application must be for at least the third year of college. R.N. students must have completed the first year of schooling. Pre-med students are not eligible to apply. For those students seeking degrees of M.D. or D.D.S. application must be for at least the second year of medical or dental school. There is no age limit. Scholarships are for $1000.00.Requests for applications must include a stamped, self-addressed legal size envelope.

APIASF/Target Scholarship

Minimum Eligibility Criteria Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply Be enrolling in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED Must apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15 Submit one letter of recommendation online. Preference for Pharmacy majors Preference for college upperclassmen Enrolling as a full-time student in the upcoming academic year

Asian Pacific Community Fund - Verizon Scholarship Awards Program

The Asian Pacific Community Fund partners with Verizon to financially assist students in their pursuit of higher education as they face the challenge of significantly rising costs of obtaining a college degree. These awards will support those who excel academically, are leaders amongst their peers and are making a positive impact in their communities. Eligibility: Students who are residents of California, Oregon or Washington OR students attending college in one of those states High School Senior who plan to enroll as a 1st year college student in a U.S. accredited 4-year college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student majoring in math, engineering, or a science (Please check website for complete listing of majors eligible for this scholarship) Have a minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0

MHEC Graduate and Professional Scholarship Program

Who may apply: Degree-seeking graduate and professional students. How to apply: Complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. Also, contact the financial aid office of the institution you will attend and ask to be considered for a Graduate and Professional Scholarship. When to apply: Contact the financial aid office of the school you will attend for their deadlines. Eligible majors: Graduate and professional programs in dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, and veterinary medicine. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS You must be a Maryland resident and demonstrate financial need. You must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student, either part-time or full-time, and attend one of the following schools: University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Pharmacy, or Social Work; University of Baltimore School of Law; The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, or certain Maryland institutions offering a master’s degree in nursing or social work or a first professional degree in pharmacy. FINANCIAL NEED Applicants are ranked on basis of the student need as demonstrated on the FAFSA. AWARD AMOUNT The minimum award is $1,000 per year and the maximum award is $5,000 per year. Funds may not be available to award all eligible students. RENEWING AN AWARD You may receive an award for a maximum of eight semesters if you remain enrolled in an eligible program; maintain the satisfactory academic progress standards of your institution; file a FAFSA each year, and demonstrate need. The institution determines eligibility for renewals.

Armenian American Medical Society Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria • • • • Armenian Descent or Special interest in Armenian Medical Causes • Armenian Community Service • Completed Application Package $1,000 will be awarded to students enrolled in an American accredited medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing or other professional healthcare schools Scholarship award is intended for students of Armenian descent, or with special interest in Armenian Affairs  Currently attending an American accredited medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing or other professional healthcare schools  Proof of acceptance to the school you are attending  Sealed official transcripts, current academic reference letter  Current reference letter attesting to Armenian community service  Essay

A. Richard Goolkasian Scholarship

The A.A.P.A. will award a scholarship annually to a full-time Doctor of Pharmacy student residing in New England. The award will be made to a student of Armenian parentage who is matriculated in a Doctor of Pharmacy program at a College or School in one of the colleges offering Pharmacy programs in New England. The award is based on academic excellence and/or financial need as well as concrete demonstration of the student’s accomplishments and interest in the field of pharmacy. Students who are enrolled in the 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th professional year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program at a College or School of Pharmacy in New England are invited to apply. The scholarship will be awarded annually at the Association’s annual awards meeting in the fall and shall be a one-time award payable to the College. Recipients may not reapply; however, individuals not receiving an award may reapply for consideration another year. The number of scholarships awarded and the sum of the award will be determined by the Scholarship Committee annually depending on the sums available in the Scholarship Fund. Please fill the A.A.P.A. Scholarship Application form online and have submitted by the requested deadline date of October 1st. Please include a cover letter stating your reasons for scholarship request and indicating financial need, the names of two persons (faculty, adviser, or employer) whom you have asked to submit reference statements on your behalf and an official academic transcript. A hard copy of the academic transcript should be provided under a separate cover. Reference letters may be mailed or sent electronically. Harold R. Partamian Scholarship
