Theatre Scholarship
Three to five theatre scholarships are given to continuing Theatre majors in the fall.
Lindsay Donadio Memorial Scholarship
This fund was established by Lindsay’s loving family after a tragic automobile accident in 2007. Lindsay loved humor and making people laugh, and she was passionate about life and vocal music. She loved to perform, sing and dance. Lindsay’s spirit is kept alive through this scholarship for a student pursuing a career in the performing arts.
Other Majors Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:•Must be of Hispanic background•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico•Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale•Must demonstrate financial need•Must be studying a major that falls under the Other Majors Application
HSF/McNamara Family Creative Arts Grant Project
Program Description:The HSF/ McNamara Family Foundation Creative Arts Project Grant is designed to provide financial resources to outstanding Latino undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a creative arts related field: media, film, performing arts, communications, writing, etc. This grant is only intended to assist students in beginning and completing an art project. Students may be potentially eligible for grants up to $15,000. Eligibility Requirements: * Be of Hispanic heritage * Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) * Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale * Be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands the upcoming academic year * Be majoring in the Arts, including but not limited to media, film, performing arts, communications or writing * Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Jerilyn Jones Kennedy Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: * Awarded to a full-time student interested in the study of speech, telecommunications, or theatre and drama. * A minimum 2.5 GPA is required. * Preference will be given to active members of the Delta Chapter of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. * For more information, contact the scholarship committee of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
New Theatre Guild Scholarship Endowment Fund
Established to promote and provide scholarships at institutions of higher learning for education related to theatrical arts industry in the greater Kansas City metro area.Eligibility:Offers scholarships to both undergraduate and graduate student levels.

HSF/McNamara Family Creative Arts Project Grant
Program Description: In partnership with the McNamara Family Foundation, this program will provide financial resources to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled full-time in a creative arts related field -media, film, performing arts, communications, writing, and others- to assist them in beginning and completing an art project. Grants will range from $5,000 to $20,000. Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic heritage. Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired). Be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at a U.S. accredited college or university in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands the upcoming academic year. Be majoring in the arts, including but not limited to media, film, performing arts, communications or writing. Have earned at least 12 undergraduate units or credits in a U.S. accredited college or university. Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).
Get Showcasd Performing Arts Scholarship
The Get Showcasd Performing Arts Scholarship is for any and all performing artists. Just answer this question: How have the performing arts impacted your life? You may submit videos, audio files, photos, documents, or typed text. The winners will be chosen based on creativity, originality, and the quality of their answer. Elizabeth Furber Fellowship
The Elizabeth Furber Fellowship will be awarded to an American Indian/Alaska Native woman graduate student studying creative fine arts, visual works, crafts, music, performing, dance, literary arts, or creative writing & poetry. Eligibility: Be an enrolled member of a United States federally-recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group or possess one-fourth degree Indian blood from a federally-recognized tribe. Be enrolled full-time in a Masters, doctoral or professional degree program at an accredited college or university within the United States. Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) from the United States Department of Education and the office of the university you plan to attend. Application Procedure: Note: Application for the Elizabeth Furber Fellowship additionally provides eligibility for other American Indian Graduate Center (AIGC) administered graduate/professional awards, especially the AIGC Fellowship. The possibility of an applicant being granted multiple awards by AIGC also exists, especially as regards smaller-amount awards. You need only complete one application. A completed AIGC Fellowship Application. A Financial Need Form (FNF) completed by the college or university financial aid office. A Tribal Eligibility Certification (TEC). The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
Fellowships for Graduate Study Any academic discipline or professional field, including the Fine and Performing Arts Up to two years $20,000 annually in maintenance Half-tuition wherever the recipient attends Any accredited university in the United States Looking for leaders who can give evidence of creativity, accomplishment, and commitment to the U.S. Constitution; and for whom graduate education is relevant to their long-term career goals. Eligibility: Senior in a bachelor's program; no more than two years already in a graduate program. No more than 30 years old as of November 30. Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts
The Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts offers assistance to students who are training for a ministry in the United Methodist Church in the areas of music, worship, drama, dance, visuals and other liturgical arts. Applicants must have been members of the United Methodist Church for at least one year prior to application, giving strong evidence of Christian character and participation in Christian activities of the church and/or campus. Applicants must be full-time music degree candidates in an accredited university, college, or school of theology, or pursuing an education in worship or the arts related to worship. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional musical/artistic talent, effective leadership ability, and outstanding promise of future usefulness to the Church in the areas of music and/or worship.
