Here are some of the Nursing scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

Franks Foundation Scholarship

To provide financial assistance for the study of nursing or theology to residents of designated counties in Oregon. Number Awarded: Varies each year. Duration: 1 year. Eligibility: This program is open to graduating high school seniors with a GPA of 2.5 or higher and current college students with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Applicants must be planning to major in nursing or theology at the undergraduate or graduate level. First preference is given to residents of Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson counties in Oregon; second preference is given to residents of Grant, Harney, Klamath, and Lake counties.

Breakthrough to Nursing Scholarships For Ethnic People of Color

To provide financial assistance to minority undergraduate and graduate students who wish to prepare for careers in nursing. Number Awarded: 13 to 15 each year. Duration: 1 year. Eligibility: Minority undergraduate students currently enrolled in state-approved schools of nursing or pre-nursing associate degree, baccalaureate, diploma, generic doctorate, and generic master's programs are eligible to apply. Graduating high school seniors are not eligible. Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, and involvement in student nursing organizations and community health activities. Additional Information: Applications must be accompanied by a $10 processing fee.

Josephine Nipper Memorial Scholarship

Each year, the scholarship is awarded to a Native American who is a first-generation college student, who is studying education or nursing, and who has a strong desire to give back to Native communities

Mildred Nutting Nursing Scholarship

The Mildred Nutting Nursing Scholarship is awarded to students who have been accepted or are currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. Preference will be given to candidates from the greater Lowell, MA area.Awards are based on academic merit, commitment to the field of study and financial need. No affiliation with DAR is necessary unless specified.Awards are placed on deposit with the college or university; any unused portion shall be returned to the National Society.

Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship

The Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship is awarded to students who are accepted or enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. Applicants must be members, descendents of members or be eligible for membership in NSDAR. DAR Member Number must be on the Application.This is a one-time award of $1000.

Health Careers Scholarship Program

The Health Careers Scholarship Program was started in May 1976. It is supported through individual contributions of the Order's members. Since there is no set budget, the number of scholarships available may vary from year to year.Students preparing for careers in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physical or occupational therapy, and medical technologies are eligible to apply. A student must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen, enrolled full time in a school accredited in the field involved and application must be for at least the third year of college. R.N. students must have completed the first year of schooling. Pre-med students are not eligible to apply. For those students seeking degrees of M.D. or D.D.S. application must be for at least the second year of medical or dental school. There is no age limit. Scholarships are for $1000.00.Requests for applications must include a stamped, self-addressed legal size envelope.

Decision Critical Nursing Student Excellence Scholarship

The Decision Critical Nursing Student Excellence Scholarship is available to students wishing to pursue a career in Informatics (Technology in Nursing). To be considered for this scholarship, students must be enrolled in a BSN program.Eligibility RequirementsFNSNA scholarship eligibility criteria include:• Current enrollment and matriculation in a state-approved nursing program (BSN);Matriculation means the student has applied to a state approved nursing school and has been admitted into the nursing program.• Pre-nursing students taking courses to prepare for matriculation into a nursing program;• Attending classes and taking no less than six (6) credits per semester.• Involvement in student nursing organizations and community health activities;• Document academic achievement;• Establish financial need;• High school students are not eligible to apply;• U.S. Citizen or Alien with U.S. Permanent Resident Status/Alien Registration Number.

McKesson Scholarships

Open to all students enrolled in accredited programs leading to RN licensure.Eligibility RequirementsFNSNA scholarship eligibility criteria include:• Current enrollment and matriculation in a state-approved nursing program leading to an associate degree, baccalaureate, diploma, generic pre-licensure doctorate or generic prelicensuremaster’s degree; or enrolled in an RN to BSN completion, RN to MSN completion, or LPN/LVN to RN program;Matriculation means the student has applied to a state approved nursing school and has been admitted into the nursing program.• Pre-nursing students taking courses to prepare for matriculation into a nursing program;• Attending classes and taking no less than six (6) credits per semester.• Involvement in student nursing organizations and community health activities;• Document academic achievement;• Establish financial need;• High school students are not eligible to apply;• U.S. Citizen or Alien with U.S. Permanent Resident Status/Alien Registration Number.

Specialty Nursing Scholarships

Awarded to students interested in pursuing specialized areas of nursing practice. Eugen Grabschied Scholarship Fund

Awarded to dependent children of police employees who are studying for a degree in the medical profession.

Green Law Firm Nursing Home & Elderly Care

Attorney Bill Green and his team at Green Law Firm are committed to improving the quality of care in nursing homes. With over 26 years of experience serving the community and many years fighting against low standards of elderly care, Bill is dedicated to promoting passionate students who are focused on making care homes a ‘home’ for our senior population. We are pleased to be offering a $1500 nursing scholarship to high-achieving students who are committed to elderly care and pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Our hope is to further their professional development and continued competence, allowing them to improve the quality of life for seniors at nursing homes. Applicants will be judged on the content of their application, the essay they provide and on their academic merits.
