West Central Chapter (NJ) Jeanette Ash Scholarship
Funding for this scholarship, in honor of Jeanette Ash, is made possible by the generosity of the West Central Chapter (NJ) members through the 2008 ENA Foundation State Challenge Campaign. Requirements: This scholarship is awarded to an emergency nurse (RN) pursuing a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN). Eligibility Requirements: * A minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for consideration. * Applicants must be attending a NLN or AACN accredited school.

ENA Foundation Scholarship: Master
Funding is made possible through the generosity of the many ENA members, individuals and other organizations who have contributed to the ENA Foundation. This scholarship is awarded to an emergency nurse (RN) pursuing an advance degree in healthcare. These degrees include but are not limited to degrees in business (MBA), public health (MPH), nurse education (N.Ed.) and Informatics. Eligibility Requirements: * A minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for consideration. * Applicants must be attending a NLN or AACN accredited school.
Pamela Stinson Kidd Memorial Doctoral Scholarship
This scholarship has been made possible through contributions to the Foundation in memory of Pamela Stinson Kidd. Pam was a longtime member of ENA and served on the ENA Board of Directors, the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing, as well as numerous ENA committees. Pam was an exemplary educator and nurse researcher who mentored many nurses. This scholarship is awarded to a nurse (RN) pursuing a doctoral degree to better emergency nursing.
ENA Foundation Doctoral Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a nurse (RN) pursuing a doctoral degree in nursing (PhD or DNP). This doctoral scholarship is being offered with the intent of assisting its recipient to prepare for a career as a faculty member at a college of nursing. Requirements: Applicants must show proof of acceptance and enrollment into an accredited doctoral program in nursing and must include a statement about their career intent. Applicants who are more than six months beyond the completion of all formal coursework and comprehensive examinations, are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. This scholarship is intended to address some of the nursing shortage issues that result from the lack of availability of nursing faculty. Applicants must be pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing.
Hartfield, Ostina and Herman Scholarship
Eligible Majors: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology Eligible Schools: UNCF Member Colleges and Universities (please check the website for the complete list) Eligible Locations: Virginia, New Jersey, North Carolina Scholarship Detail: This scholarship is awarded to a student who exhibits a strong interest in the Biological Science field. Students, who are enrolled in the fields of Pharmaceutical and Nursing, are also eligible to apply for this scholarship. Donor/Sponsor Name: Ms. Dorothy Wilson
NPHF/Procter & Gamble Endowed Scholarship in Community Service
The NPHF/Procter & Gamble Endowed Scholarship in Community Service is awarded to one (1) nurse practitioner graduate student who has made a significant positive contribution in school, in the community, or in patient care while in the pursuit of an advanced degree. One scholarship will be awarded. Amount of award is $1,000.

Sylvia Bodak Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2001 by the family and friends of Sylvia Bodak with assistance from the Women’s Cancer Care Foundation. The fund was set up to honor the life of a loving wife and mother who passed away in 1999 after a courageous battle with cancer. Through their experiences during Mrs. Bodak’s illness the family had come to know, and wished to support the work of individuals in the field of oncology and/or cancer research.Eligibility requirements:? To support a part-time or full time student pursuing a career in cancer research, oncology, or any related field.? Preference to residents, students and/or those employed in the towns of Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott but if a qualified candidate is not found in that area others candidates will be considered? Financial need? Two letters of recommendationEssay requirement: Write a brief summary about yourself, including your reason for choosing oncology nursing and/or cancer research as a career
Peg Coughlin Nursing Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was started in 2000 by the family of Peg Coughlin to honor her lifelong commitment to nursing.Eligibility requirements:? For individuals who are returning to school to complete their nursing studies? Must live and/or work in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington or Wolcott? Not automatically renewable but recipients may reapply if they continue to meet the criteria? Financial need? Two letters of recommendationEssay requirement: Write a brief essay explaining where you are in your nursing career, what your future educational goals are, and how you plan to use this education in the care of patients.
Marie E. (Sue) Werner Memorial Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2007 by the family of Marie E. (Sue) Werner. Mrs. Werner dedicated her entire professional career to the field of nursing. She graduated from the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing and received her B.S. degree from Central Connecticut State University. She was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during World War II, serving two years in India. Upon her return, she commenced her career at Bristol Hospital where she served first as a registered nurse and then as Director of Nursing until her retirement in 1982. During her career, she particularly prided herself on the mentoring and training of new nurses.Eligibility requirements:? Student must be enrolled in or have been accepted in a degree or professional training program directed toward achieving licensure as a registered nurse? Scholastic achievement? Financial need? Challenges or obstacles that have been overcome (answer question in Section V of application)? Preference to applicants who are current or former employees or volunteers of Bristol Hospital? Two letters of recommendation from persons not related to the applicant. At least one of the letters must be from a teacher familiar with the student’s workEssay requirement: Why do you believe that you would be a successful RN?
Health Care Majors Scholarships
Eligibility Criteria:•Must be of Hispanic background•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico•Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student for the upcoming academic year•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale•Must demonstrate financial need•Must be studying a major that falls under the Health Care Majors Application
