West Central Chapter (NJ) - Jeanette Ash Memorial Scholarship
Funding for this scholarship, in memory of Jeanette Ash, is made possible by the generosity of the West Central Chapter (NJ) and its members through contributions to the 2009 ENA Foundation State Challenge campaign. Requirements: This scholarship is awarded to an emergency nurse (RN) pursuing a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN). Applicants must meet all standard eligibility requirements.General Eligibility:? ?Applicants must be an ENA member for a minimum of twelve (12) months immediately prior to applying. Non-RN category applicants are not required to be an ENA member but a letter of reference from a current ENA member is required. A minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for consideration. Applicants must be attending a NLN or AACN accredited school and must provide verification of the schools current accreditation. Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to reapply under the same category. However, qualified previous recipients may apply for the next category. Stryker Strategic Sponsor Scholarship
Support for this scholarship is provided by Stryker as a 2010 ENA Strategic Sponsor. Stryker Medical offers patient handling equipment and products for the emergency medical services industry, including general transport & specialty stretchers, transfer devices, and furniture. This scholarship is awarded to an emergency nurse (RN) pursuing an advanced nursing degree. Requirements: This scholarship is awarded to an emergency nurse (RN) pursuing a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN). Physio-Control, Inc. Scholarship
Support for this scholarship is provided by Physio-Control, Inc. Physio-Control pioneered defibrillation technology over 50 years ago, and is the world’s leading provider of external defibrillators for the treatment of sudden cardiac arrest. Requirements: This scholarship is awarded to an emergency nurse (RN) pursuing a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN). Karen O’Neil Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Karen M. O'Neil, who was a recipient of an ENA Foundation Scholarship herself. Karen was a unique individual whose involvement and dedication to her profession touched her patients, colleagues and her community. Karen, her family, and her friends have provided this opportunity as a way to remember her tireless energy and uplifting spirit, and commitment to emergency nursing. Pamela Stinson Kidd Memorial Doctoral Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Pamela Kidd by the ENA Board of Directors and the ENA Foundation Board of Trustees. Pam was a longtime member of ENA and served on the ENA Board of Directors, the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing, as well as numerous ENA committees. Pam was an exemplary educator and nurse researcher who mentored many nurses. This scholarship is funded by general donations received by the ENA Foundation and through multiple annual fundraising campaigns. Requirements: This scholarship is awarded to a nurse (RN) pursuing a doctoral degree. The applicant’s dissertation must be related to emergency nursing. GE Healthcare Doctoral Scholarship
Support for this scholarship is provided by GE Healthcare as a 2010 ENA Strategic Sponsor. GE Healthcare provides expertise in patient monitoring, medical imaging and diagnostics and information technologies to help caregivers around the world develop new ways to predict, diagnose, inform and treat disease so their patients can live their lives to the fullest. This scholarship is awarded to a nurse (RN) pursuing a doctoral degree in nursing (PhD or DNP). This doctoral scholarship is being offered with the intent of assisting its recipient to prepare for a career as a faculty member at a college of nursing. Requirements: Applicants must show proof of acceptance and enrollment into an accredited doctoral program in nursing and must include a statement about their career intent. Riverview Hospital Auxiliary Hospital Employee Scholarship
The Riverview Hospital Auxiliary established a scholarship in 2000 to benefit employees of Riverview Hospital Association. An employee scholarship was implemented to meet the growing need for more nurses and other hospital-related careers. The scholarship is awarded each fall, and the total amount is $1,500 distributed over two years. Eligibility: * The applicant must be currently employed by the Riverview Hospital Association for at least six months or more and pursuing a career in a hospital -related health care field. * Accepted or awaiting acceptance for a minimum enrollment of six credits into an accredited college, university, or technical college.
