Nursing Scholarships

For students enrolled in the nursing program at the College of St. Benedict. Apply through college nursing program or financial aid office. Limited to residents of Minnesota.

These awards are offered for graduating seniors enrolling in a two or four-year college majoring in one of the following: pre-med; nursing; physician

Eligibility: Scholarships are restricted to current residents of the eight counties of Western New York. Students must have been admitted to a nonprofit [501(c)(3)], U.S. Department of Education accredited school in the United States for full-time study at the undergraduate level. Applicants who permanently relocate outside Western New York are no longer eligible for funding. Students who attend college outside Western New York remain eligible if they maintain a permanent residence in Western New York. In addition, Pell eligible applicants will be given strong preference in the award decision process. A limited number of scholarships are available for graduate students in specialized fields (architecture, arts, engineering, medicine, nursing, piano, environment, and wildlife). Eligibility:    Non‐traditional student enrolled in the nursing program at Fox Valley Technical College who is currently taking core nursing classes. Award Amount:      Two non‐renewable $500 scholarship awards for tuition expenses.                     Selection:    Selection of the recipient will be made by the Fox Valley Technical College Scholarship Selection committee. Payment Procedure: Scholarship payment will be made directly to Fox Valley Technical College Foundation upon request.

Eligibility: Fox Valley Technical College second year student enrolled in an Associate Degree Technical Nursing Program, who has maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA and has financial need. Award Amount: Two $500 scholarships will be awarded; one in the spring and one in the fall. Selection: Selection of the recipient will be made by faculty members of the Fox Valley Technical College Technical Nursing Program. Payment Procedure: Scholarship payment will be made directly to Fox Valley Technical College Foundation upon their request. Award Amount: One non-renewable scholarship award for tuition expenses. Amount varies. The recipient will demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.675. Award Amount: Two $500 scholarship awards for tuition expense. This scholarship is awarded to Emergency Department Employee who has been accepted into a nursing program. Eligible emergency department employees include but are not limited to – emergency medical technicians, clerical coordinators, CNA’s, registration clerks, etc. Requirements: Applicant must be pursuing an associate or baccalaureate degree in nursing. The applicant will be required to include a letter from the Emergency Department nurse director/manager stating the applicant’s interest in emergency nursing. Applicant must also provide proof of at least one year emergency department employment. Applicants do not need to be a member of ENA, but a letter of reference is required from a current ENA member.General Eligibility:? A minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for consideration. Applicants must be attending a NLN or AACN accredited school and must provide verification of the schools current accreditation. Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to reapply under the same category. However, qualified previous recipients may apply for the next category.
