Medical Technician Scholarships

Any student at undergraduate or graduate level who is enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university with image processing facilities appropriate for the conduct of the proposed work may submit a proposal for this award. Applicants must be a member of ASPRS. Recipients must prepare a written report of the project and submit it to ASPRS and EOSAT for possible company use. The report is due within one year of receipt of data from EOSAT. Recipient must execute a Data Grant and Protection Agreement prior to receipt of the data. Recipient (or his/her representative) must attend presentation ceremony during the annual meeting to receive the award certificate and plaque. Must return award plaque to ASPRS headquarters by date specified.

For a Worcester area student to pursue studies in the ancillary health care fields (such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab technician, etc.) at a four-year college or university in Worcester.

Scholarships are awarded to students in the following areas of study: Radiologic Technology (RT), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology (CVIT), Mammography (M) and Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS). These awards are for incoming freshmen only.

The purpose of the Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program is to increase the number of appropriately trained allied healthcare professionals, and to encourage their practice in direct patient care in medically underserved areas of California. Priority is given to students enrolled in the fields of medical imaging, occupational therapy, physical therapy, respiratory care, social work, pharmacy, pharmacy technician, medical laboratory technologist, surgical technician, ultrasound technician, and diagnostic medical sonography. Eligible applicants may receive up to $2,500 per year, and would have a service obligation of 1 year or 100-150 hours volunteer service. This program is funded by a contribution from Kaiser Permanente.

AfterCollege is proud to offer a $500 scholarship for students currently working toward a degree (AA,AS, BA,BS, MS, PhD) in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science. Students must be in good standing in an accredited program and carry a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Scholarship recipients will be chosen by the AfterCollege Scholarship Committee, and recipients will be announced during the month following the deadline. • Student must have an AfterCollege profile (registration and all services are free to students) • Must be a full-time student at the time of the scholarship deadline

Carrying Forward his Dream Mike passed away on April 26, 2007 at the age of 21. He had many dreams and aspirations he was unable to carry out. Mike’s biggest dreams were to become a paramedic as well as an EMT instructor, which he had already begun to do. In Mike’s short life he touched and inspired many people through his perseverance, vision, dedication and intense work ethic. To carry forward his dream of educating others in the field of Emergency Medical Services, the Michael J. EMS Scholarship Foundation was established to provide monetary support for those wishing to become an EMT or paramedic. In this way, Michael can continue his goal of helping others even after his death. Mission Statement To support Emergency Medical Services by finding intelligent, hardworking, and dedicated individuals who have the energy and enthusiasm for their work as well as a drive for continuing their education. Foundation Objectives 1.) Grant scholarships each year to individuals emulating Michael’s character traits of work ethic, dedication, energy, and enthusiasm, who wish to attend school to become Paramedics. 2.) Raise funds to support these scholarships through events that bring recognition to the field of Emergency Medical Services as well as bringing the community together.
