Mechanical Engineering Scholarships

The American Physical Society and IBM co-sponsor a research internship program for undergraduate women. The goal is to encourage women students to pursue graduate studies in science and engineering.Eligibility * Must be female with sophomore or junior standing at a U.S. college or university at the time of application * Must be majoring in chemistry, physics, materials science or engineering, computer science or engineering, chemical, electrical, mechanical engineering * Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA * No citizenship restriction.

Eligible applicants for Hertz Fellowships must be students of the applied physical, biological and engineering sciences who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States of America, and who are willing to morally commit to make their skills available to the United States in time of national emergency (see our Moral Commitment section).College seniors wishing to pursue the Ph.D. degree in any of the fields of particular interest to the Foundation, as well as graduate students already in the process of doing so, may apply.We screen Fellowship applicants for qualities the Foundation believes are essential ingredients of future professional accomplishment and/or reasonably reliable leading indicators of future professional success. Student Eligibility Requirements: * U.S. citizenship (not permanent resident). * 3.0 grade point average. * U.S. citizen. * Enrolled full-time as a junior in a U.S. university accredited through ABET. * Have a declared major in mechanical engineering or an automotive-related engineering discipline. * Preference will be given to those individuals with studies/courses in the areas of expertise related to noise and vibration (ex: statics, dynamics, physics, vibration). Terms of Scholarship: * One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded every other year at the SAE Noise & Vibration Conference. How to Apply: * Begin the application process online. * If you are qualified, you will be prompted to continue the process and submit the following: o Official copy of your high school transcript o SAT/ACT scores * All information must be submitted by January 15. Selection and Announcement of Recipient: * Recipient will be selected by the SAE Scholarship Committee and notified by the end of June. * Applicants not selected will be notified by the end of July. Payment of Scholarship Funds: * This scholarship will be paid into your account at your selected university in July/August. * It can be used for tuition or any other incidental school expenses. Terms for Renewal of Scholarship: This scholarship is not renewable.

This would include but is not limited to plastics engineering, polymer science, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and business administration. 3. An applicant must be in good academic standing with his or her college. 4. Financial need of applicant will be considered.

High school graduates with a 3.75 or greater and an ACT of 28 (SAT 1250) or above who plan to major in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. One scholarship valued at $1,000 will be awarded. This scholarship is renewable for three additional years.

Applicants must be incoming freshmen accepted into the College of Engineering and Technology at Bradley University. Selection is based on high school GPA, rank in class, curriculum and SAT/ACT scores. John Deere SAE Scholarships are for study in Mechanical, Electrical and Computer, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. Bradley University SAE Engineering Scholarships are for study in all programs within the College of Engineering and Technology.

Student Eligibility: Applicants must be high school seniors seeking a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Scholarships will be awarded on the merits of SAT or ACT scores, high school grade point average and extracurricular activities. Terms: One freshman scholarship consisting of $500 per year for 4 years will be awarded.

AACE International is dedicated to advancing the study of cost engineering, and cost management through the integrative process of total cost management. To promote this objective, AACE awards academic scholarships to full-time students pursuing a related degree in engineering, construction management, building construction, computer sciences, business, quantity surveying, information technology, etc. The cost engineering profession uses the process of total cost management to identify and define those areas of business in which the discipline of cost engineering and cost management principles may be applied to plan and control resources, assets, costs, profitability, and risk. The major elements of the cost engineering discipline include estimating, project/product controls, planning and scheduling, business sciences, and project/product management.Scholarship Descriptions:AACE International scholarships are available in amounts ranging from $2000 to $8000.
