Eligibility: • Junior/Senior level and Graduate students• CSU Stanislaus student for at least one year at time of application• Undergraduates: Must attend Moss Landing Marine Laboratories at least one semester• Graduates: Must attend Moss Landing Marine Laboratories both semesters of the year of the scholarship receipt• Full-time status is not required during semesters at Moss Landing GPA: 3.0
Estelle Siebens Excellence Scholarship
* One scholarship awarded annually worth up to US$10,000 per annum * For study in the US and Canada at the undergraduate and graduate levels * Approved fields of study are agriculture, architecture, economics, education, engineering, marine construction, marine design and manufacturing systems Giving primarily in the Bahamas.
Bahamas Billfish Championship Scholarship
* Two scholarships awarded annually worth up to US$10,000 per annum * One undergraduate scholarship in marine and environmental biology * One technical training and vocational scholarship in marine mechanics * Recipients are selected from among all those who apply for a scholarship from the Foundations (there is no separate form to fill out) Giving primarily in the Bahamas.
Oshkosh Garden Club Helen Spencer Scholarship
Special Qualifications: • Scholarship is available to a graduating senior pursing a career in horticulture, forestry, or agriculture, or any field relating to the preservation, beautification, or sustenance of the land or water.Requirements:TranscriptsACT or SATOther Requirements: • Name and address of parents or guardians, number and ages of dependent children in family, statement by application including extracurricular activities, vocational goal, hobbies, personal ambitions, or anticipated problems.
John D. Isaacs Scholarship
The scholarship is open to high school juniors and seniors in California. To be eligible, a student must first have entered a regional or county science fair with a project related to any of the marine sciences -- geology, biology, meteorology, chemistry, etc. -- or to marine technology. (For information about entering their local science fair, students should talk with their science teachers or department heads.) In addition, the student must have applied to (and must be the following fall have enrolled in) a college or university in California.
Asian Pacific Community Fund - Verizon Scholarship Awards Program
The Asian Pacific Community Fund partners with Verizon to financially assist students in their pursuit of higher education as they face the challenge of significantly rising costs of obtaining a college degree. These awards will support those who excel academically, are leaders amongst their peers and are making a positive impact in their communities.
Eligibility:
Students who are residents of California, Oregon or Washington OR students attending college in one of those states
High School Senior who plan to enroll as a 1st year college student in a U.S. accredited 4-year college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student majoring in math, engineering, or a science (Please check website for complete listing of majors eligible for this scholarship)
Have a minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0
Peters Foundation
Peters Foundation, Corp., is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides a limited amount of scholarship grants to high school seniors pursuing studies in the field of environment, conservation and forestry at any accredited college or studies in primary or secondary education at a Christian college. The scholarships are a total award that range from $10,000 to $20,000 over a four-year period ($2,500 to $5,000 per year) that may be for tuition and are administered at the determination of the selection committee of the Foundation. The selection committee determines scholarship amount based on economic need, academic potential and other analysis. Students receiving scholarships will be subject to reporting requirements to the Foundation. Applicants must attend colleges located in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona or Colorado. The selection committee will perform a Phase I application analysis. Selected applicants will be invited to complete a Phase II application. The selection committee will subsequently perform a Phase II application analysis.
Doctor Sniffs Bed Bug Dog Science Major Scholarship
This scholarship is for any student obtaining a science degree (examples: BA, MS, DVM, MD)
2 $500 scholarship will be awarded for 2019.
Each nominee must have taken out some student loans for undergrad and graduate school.
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a science major, or graduate program with a science major, or any Doctoral program.
O'Bryan Aquatic & Marine Studies Scholarship
This scholarship will give three students working toward a degree in these fields the opportunity to relieve some of the financial burden inherent in the pursuit of higher education, in exchange for a genuine display of motivation to help contribute to aquatic studies and research.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in a Marine or Aquatic Field of Study
Applicant must have a minimum 2.8 GPA
