Manufacturing Scholarships

Scholarship applicants must be full-time undergraduate students enrolled in a degree program in manufacturing engineering or technology at one of the following approved Colorado institutions: Colorado State University, University of Colorado - all campuses. Scholarship applicants must have completed a minimum of 30 college credit hours and seeking a career in manufacturing engineering or manufacturing engineering technology. (Graduate students will not be eligible for this scholarship.) Scholarship applicants must possess an overall minimum grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. Students may submit a scholarship application in succeeding years. Need is not a consideration in awarding scholarships except when two or more applicants have equal qualifications.

Scholarship applicants must have completed a minimum of 30 college credit hours and are seeking a career in manufacturing engineering or manufacturing engineering technology. Scholarship applicants must possess an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale.

The Senior Student Recognition Program recognizes graduating four year college seniors planning a career related to dairy (production agriculture, manufacturing, marketing, agricultural law, business, communications, veterinary medicine, research and environmental sciences) who have demonstrated leadership skills, academic ability, and interest in dairy cattle. ONLY two applicants per college or university are accepted for this contest in any given year. Two letters of recommendation are required from the department chair or faculty members who are familiar with the applicant’s activities and academic achievements. The total number of awards will be determined by the number and quality of applicants.

The top 25 All-American contestants in the past three National Intercollegiate Dairy Judging Contests plus the Platinum winners in the past three National Dairy Challenge Contests are eligible to apply for up to two $3,000 scholarships for post graduate study in a dairy related field. Students may apply for the scholarship in their junior or senior year of college. The awards are base on rank in the national contests, academic standing, leadership ability, student activities, future plans and experience with dairy cattle. These scholarships are to be used for advanced study related to the dairy industry (production agriculture, manufacturing, marketing, agricultural law, business, veterinary medicine and environmental sciences) at the school of their choice. The winner will be recognized at the National Dairy Shrine Awards Banquet. The scholarship will be paid in two installments. The winner must submit an official transcript following their first year of graduate study to the Executive Director to receive the final payment.

This $2,500 scholarship is being awarded by ASNT to a student enrolled in course work related to nondestructive testing (NDT) in a program of study leading to an undergraduate degree, an associate degree or a post-secondary certificate. The scholarship is awarded to the student submitting the best original manuscript on nondestructive testing. The manuscript should develop an original concept in NDT and may be based on practical experience, laboratory work or library research. Papers may be classroom assignments for work outside NDT, such as an English class. Because the award may be made after the completion of studies, there is no requirement that the student use the funds for school expenses. It is not necessary for an applicant to attend ASNT's Fall Conference to be eligible for the scholarship.

Scholarship applicants must: * Be full-time undergraduate students enrolled in a degree program in manufacturing engineering or technology. Preference will be given, but not limited, to students attending colleges or universities in the state of Florida. * Have completed a minimum of 30 college credit hours and be seeking a career in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing engineering technology, or a closely related field. * Possess and overall minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students may submit a scholarship application in succeeding years. Need is not a consideration in awarding scholarships except when two or more applicants have equal qualifications.

Criteria Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate students enrolled in a manufacturing engineering, manufacturing engineering technology or mechanical technology accredited degree program at a college or university in New York State. Applicants must reside in Western New York State. Applicants must possess an overall minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Students may submit a scholarship application in succeeding years. Need is not a consideration in awarding scholarships except when two or more applicants have equal qualifications.

Scholarship recipient must be a current IFDA student member with dues paid in full prior to submission of the scholarship application. Scholarship recipient must be a full-time student. Scholarship recipient will be selected by the IFDA Educational Foundation Board based on the student's academic achievement, future plans and goals. Data will be supplied in this application, the student's essay and the letter of recommendation from the professor or instructor.

Scholarship applicants must be a high school graduating senior or an undergraduate student enrolled in a manufacturing engineering, manufacturing engineering technology or closely related degree at one of the following sponsored institutions. Wayne State University, Student Chapter S004 Lawrence Technological University, Student Chapter S011 University of Detroit-Mercy, Student Chapter S081 Focus: Hope, Center for Advanced Technologies, Student Chapter S279 Henry Ford Community College, Student Chapter S331 Macomb Community College, Student Chapter S071 University of Michigan - Dearborn, Student Chapter S326 Preference will be given to a member in good standing of their respective SME Student Chapter or SME-Detroit Chapter One - The Founding Chapter. Preference will be given to applicants involved in SME Student Chapter activities at their respective institution. The applicant can be a full- or part-time student. Applicants must possess an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 Scale. Applicants must demonstrate good character and leadership. Need is not a consideration in awarding scholarships except when two or more applicants have equal qualifications.

Technology Studies scholarships are awarded to students majoring in Technology Education or Industrial Technology. These awards are for incoming freshmen only.
