Law Scholarships

Here are some of the Law scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

Justice Studies - Academic Opportunity Award

Scholarships are awarded to students in the following areas of study: Justice Studies. These awards are for incoming freshmen only.

Political Science - Academic Opportunity Award

Scholarships are awarded to students in the following areas of study: American Government and Politics, Public Administration, Pre-law, and International Relations. These awards are for incoming freshmen only.

Sherbondy Family Scholarship

Recipient will be an FHSU graduate accepted into the Washburn University School of Law. This student should show leadership through the involvement in campus and community activities. A short essay discussing their desire for a law degree and career goals, along with three letters of recommendation must accompany the application.

Naqvi Law Scholarship

This scholarship is judged primarily on need basis, but does not exclude achievement standards. The scholarship must be submitted, in full, by December 31. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. -INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. -Applications for scholarship can be submitted by any high school senior or high school graduate in the state of Nevada. -You must be seeking a law oriented degree. -A student aid report showing income status of your household must be attached for application to be considered. -Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. -A transcript must be attached with counselor or school representative signature for application to be considered. -This scholarship is a one time scholarships worth $2,000. -Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application. -This scholarship is available at Naqvilaw.com/scholarship-application

Madeline B. McCrum Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY•College/University: West Virginia University College of Law•Financial Need: No•Renewable: YesGeneral Criteria:·must be a resident of West Virginia·must be a full time student (minimum of 12 Credit Hours)·must demonstrate academic achievement (at least a 2.5 GPA)·minimum score of 20 on the ACT ·must demonstrate good moral character

Bowles, McDavid, Graff and Love Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY:•College/University: West Virginia University College of Law•Financial Need: Yes•Renewable: Yes•Specific preferences:(1) Have a strong academic record(2) Must be entering 1st year of study at WVU College of LawGeneral Criteria:·must be a resident of West Virginia·must be a full time student (minimum of 12 Credit Hours)·minimum score of 20 on the ACT ·must demonstrate good moral character

Makia & Ann Malo Scholarship Fund

Requirements: Be a graduate student. Major in Law at a school located in the state of Hawaii. Preference given to students of Hawaiian ancestry who demonstrate a desire to contribute to the Hawaiian community after earning their graduate degree. Supplemental Materials Required:Applicants must submit a copy of their birth certificate to verify ancestry.Required Essay- write about your Hawaiian identity and plans of contributing back to the community.

Miller Johnson West Michigan Diversity Law School Scholarship

Student is of ethnic minority status accepted to or presently attending an accredited law school within the U.S. and has a permanent residence in Michigan. Must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 3.3 GPA.

Vivian M. Kommer Scholarship

Student is a senior at West Catholic HS entering undergraduate studies in business or pre-law. Must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Warner Norcross & Judd Law School Scholarship

Student is of ethnic minority status accepted to or presently attending an accredited law school within the U.S. and has a permanent residence in Michigan or will be attending a Michigan Law School.

Other Majors Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria:•Must be of Hispanic background•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico•Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale•Must demonstrate financial need•Must be studying a major that falls under the Other Majors Application

Mark F. Olley Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: * Awarded to students interested in political science or law, enrolled at IU Bloomington for at least one year, and earning at least a 3.0 GPA. * Preference will be given to students with an active role in IUSA or the College Democrats. * Both an online application and a 500- to 750-word essay describing personal goals and involvement in making IU Bloomington a better place for their fellow students are required. * The essay needs to be submitted by e-mail to Debbie Narey, IUF scholarship coordinator, at [email protected].
