The d’Oliveira & Associates College Scholarship

The d’Oliveira & Associates College Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship opportunity available to students pursuing college degrees or certifications in law school, paralegal studies‚ legal assistant studies‚ court reporting, or any other law-related field from community colleges‚ technical schools, or business schools in the United States. Applicant Eligibility Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen Must hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent Must either attend or plan to enroll at a college or university, community college, technical school, or business school Must be either pursuing a college degree, law school degree, certification in paralegal studies, legal assistant studies, court reporting, or another law-related field. About the Award: The d’Oliveira & Associates College Student Scholarship is to be used solely for school tuition and related expenses. A check for $1,000 will be written payable directly to the award recipient’s college or school to cover these expenses.

Ladah Law Firm, PLLC Injury Scholarship

This Scholarship will be judged & awarded on merit and need. Applicants will be required to demonstrate: 1. How an injury you or someone close to you experienced has impacted your life. 2. How your experience with an injury or an accident has contributed to your desire & motivation to become an attorney. 3. Personal commitment to working with, helping or caring for those affected by injuries and accidents? These personal injuries or accidents can be from (but not limited to) car accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip & falls, dangerous property or work conditions, etc. To be considered, the injuries sustained should not be self inflicted or by injured person’s own fault. Injury Scholarship Requirements This scholarship is judged & awarded primarily on merit & need. Completed application must be submitted online by May 31. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Applicant must be attending Law School. Applicant will have successfully completed at least one semester of law school but will not yet have graduated by fall semester Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. A transcript must be attached for application for consideration. Applicant must submit an un-opened copy of official transcripts if selected as a finalist. This scholarship is a one-time award worth $2,000 to be awarded the fall semester. Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application. Applicant will be required to demonstrate both their merit and their need for this scholarship

Leukemia & Lymphoma Awareness/Law School Scholarship

Eligibility for Law School Scholarship: Applicants must meet the following criteria: · Be a current or incoming law student at an accredited U.S. law school who has been affected by or dealing with issues related to lymphoma or leukemia (either himself/herself or a family member). · Be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen. · Be able to show proof of academic achievement with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 from undergraduate or current law school work. · Essay and application (available to download online). · Official copy of undergraduate and/or law school transcripts with GPA of at least 3.0. Proof of academic achievement may come from an undergraduate transcript or a current law school transcript. Rules: Applicants must abide by the following contest rules: · Winners will provide personal information as needed to the Law Office of Renkin & Associates where appropriate. · Any taxes on scholarship are the sole responsibility of the contestant. Recipient is expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations. · By accepting a scholarship, the applicant will agree to allow the Law Office of Renkin & Associates to use his or her name, law school, and photograph to announce the scholarship award. · Scholarship is to be used exclusively for law school tuition and/or books.

Marine Appreciation – Law School Scholarship

Eligibility: For a law student attending (or accepted and planning to attend) an accredited law school and is or has had a family member in the Marine Corps. Entrants must submit a 1-3 page essay describing their experience and the impact of the service and sacrifice to their family. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and 18 years or older. Academic achievement demonstrated through a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 from undergraduate or current law school work. Requirements: Applicant must submit an essay and application by: June 30th Submit an official copy of undergraduate and/or law school transcripts with GPA. Naqvi Scholarship

Requirements for the Naqvi Scholarship This scholarship is judged primarily on need basis, but does not exclude achievement standards. The scholarship must be submitted, in full, by March 31. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Applications for scholarship can be submitted by any high school senior or high school graduate from the state of Nevada. You must be seeking a law oriented degree. A student aid report showing income status of your household must be attached for application to be considered. Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. A transcript must be attached with counselor or school representative signature for application to be considered. This scholarship is a one time scholarships worth $2,000. Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application. Reiff and Bily Legal Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship is open to any student studying for a career in the legal field. All applicants must be: Pursuing a degree in pre-law or paralegal studies, or; Working towards their J.D. in any concentration related to the law. SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY All applicants for the Scholarship must meet the following criteria: You must be a citizen of the United States. You must demonstrate plans to enroll for admission‚ or have proof of current full-time enrollment at an accredited institution. If you have not yet received your acceptance into college or law school‚ you may still apply‚ but the scholarship will not be released without proof of acceptance and enrollment. Your GPA must meet a minimum score of 3.0. The recipient must provide the following documents in order to be considered eligible: A transcript reflecting the student’s current academic standing, including a minimum GPA of at least 3.0. Steinger, Iscoe & Greene Law Scholarship for Child Advocates

The Steinger, Iscoe & Greene Law Scholarship for Child Advocates is open to dedicated students who meet either of the following criteria: You have personally worked to protect children's rights or stop abuse either as a volunteer, as a counselor, in your professional work or by legal means. You are an abuse survivor who wishes to use your own experiences to help others. Additionally, all applicants must either be currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited law school, or a current undergraduate student with the intention to go to law school. Applicant Essay Topics Please choose one of the questions provided for your essay. Essays must be between 500 and 1000 words. How has being a child advocate inspired you to pursue a career in law? How has your personal childhood experiences affected your outlook on the legal system? How did you become a child advocate? Applicant Requirements Applicant must be either a current law student at an accredited law school or at an accredited undergraduate university planning to attend law school for the following academic year. Applicants must have a minimum 2.8 GPA. Applicants must submit an official copy of their transcript. Yanez & Associates – Law Scholarship Essay Contest And Scholarship Program

Annual Family Law Scholarship Essay Contest and Scholarship Program for Law Students The essay contest will focus on Domestic Violence in America. The goal of the contest is to increase awareness of the growing issue of domestic violence. This law school scholarship program will consist of two annual scholarships. All current law students and prospective law students awaiting admission to a law school are eligible. (The law schools must be located within the USA) Law school students who enter the essay contest will write a 2,500 to 3,500 word essay. The two winning essays will be posted on the cafamilydivorcelawyer.com article section and credit will be given to the winning writers. The content must be original, in other words the content must not be reproduced from the Internet. We will run a Copyscape search (plagiarism checker) to ensure the content is original and not duplicated from the Internet. By submitting the essay the winners are granting Yanez & Associates permission to post the essay on cafamilydivorcelawyer.com and/or any social media channel. Further, the winners will be required to submit a headshot, which will be used to accompany the essay when it posts. The Essay Must Be Based Off One Of The Following Five Topics: • Should parents found guilty of domestic violence have their parental rights terminated? • 10 Best ways to protect yourself and your family from domestic violence. • Can domestic violence abusers change their behavior? • Are children who are victims of domestic violence doomed to repeat the cycle? • What are some warning signs of a potential domestic violence abuser? Undergraduates and Pre-law Students intending to pursue a law program are also welcomed to submit their essays, provided they will be enrolled at the time the essays are judged. Who Is Eligible? To be eligible the student must be: • 18 years or older and • Currently enrolled in a Law School or has applied to a Law School and will be enrolled by the time the essays are judged.

Vision Zero Auto Accident Prevention Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must meet the following criteria: Recipient is currently in their first or second year of law school, or entering law school in the fall. Recipient is a U.S. citizen accepted to or currently attending an ABA accredited law school or program within United States. Academic achievement as reflected by an undergraduate cumulative minimum 3.0 GPA REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must submit by July 31st: A completed Scholarship Application Form One-page typed essay An official copy of a law school or undergrad college transcript An official copy of a driving record since being eligible to drive If entering a law school program or school in the fall, an acceptance letter from an accredited law school. The award recipient shall provide the following documentation to obtain the scholarship: Proof of Legal Residency in U.S. (i.e. birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card, etc.) Vision Zero Car Auto Accident Prevention Scholarship for law Students is to be used exclusively for law school school tuition and related expenses. Joseph Näwahï Scholarship

GRADUATE STUDENTS ONLY  Minimum GPA 3.2  Graduate student at an accredited institution in the state of Hawai`i  Pursuing Hawaiian studies, Hawaiian politics, Law (specific to Hawaiian legal issues), or Communications/Journalism (specific to Hawaiian history, culture and politics)  Demonstrate financial need  Submit two letters of recommendation; one from a teacher or counselor and one from a community organization who can comment on your overall character, achievement and contribution to serve the greater community  Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Applications are open to the general public. However, it is the policy of the Pauahi Foundation to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.

C. Bainbridge Smith Scholarship

The C. Bainbridge Smith Scholarship Committee provides scholarships to second and third year inner-city law students who have spent a significant portion of their lives in New York City, demonstrate character, intelligence and promising aptitude for the law, and face a special economic disadvantage (including lack of funds, or physical or cultural handicaps).

Stephen K. Hall ACWA Water Law & Policy Scholarship

The Stephen K. Hall ACWA Water Law & Policy Scholarship was created in 2007 to honor former ACWA Executive Director Steve Hall upon his retirement. The $7,000 scholarship is presented annually to a qualified graduate student majoring in law, policy or public administration with a focus or concentration in California water resources. Eligible students must be attending a public or private graduate or law school in the U.S., carrying at least 8 units per term and planning to attend school for the complete year in which the scholarship is awarded. Applications must be postmarked by APRIL 1 of each year. Each academic year the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) awards a $7000 scholarship to a qualified graduate (Master’s, PhD or Law School) student studying water law and policy or public administration. The guidelines and criteria for applying for this scholarship are as follows: A. The scholarship will be known as the ACWA Water Law and Policy Scholarship. The funds associated with this scholarship will be made available to the recipient at the beginning of each school year at the start of the fall term. B. The applicants who will be considered for the scholarship must be attending a public or private school located in the United States of America. They should have completed their undergraduate work and at the time of the award be either part-time or full-time students in their graduate studies. However, students must be carrying at least 8 units per term. They also must plan to attend school for the complete academic year in which the scholarship is awarded. C. The award will be based not only on scholastic achievement, but also on the individual’s commitment and motivation to his/her chosen vocation. Financial need will also be given due consideration. D. The recipient should be pursuing a degree related to, or identified with, law and policy, or public administration and demonstrate a focus or concentration in the field of water resources. E. The recipient will be selected by the ACWA scholarship sub-committee upon receipt of a completed application form and at least three, recommendations for each candidate. F. The award will be presented to the recipient’s school in a lump sum (amount to be announced). Actual payment will be made to the recipient by the school in accordance with regulations used at the selected school concerning such payment. G. This scholarship will be presented at one of ACWA’s statewide conferences.
