AH&LEF Graduate Scholarship
Eligibility:•If the applicant has an undergraduate degree in hospitality or four years employment in the lodging industry after graduation then he/she can be enrolled in any graduate program related to his/her career within the industry (i.e. hospitality, business, accounting, human resources, etc.) If the applicant does not have an undergraduate degree in hospitality management or the four years post graduate lodging work experience, then he/she must be enrolled in a graduate hospitality management program. •Enrollment can be full or part-time.•Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.•Be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident.
Hospitality/Hotel/Tourism Scholarship

Areas of Studies: Hospitality-Tourism, Culinary, Food and Beverage Who Can Apply * College students in the final year of a i) Hospitality-Tourism, ii) Culinary or iii) Food and Beverage diploma program enrolling in September of this year in a minimum one-year post-diploma program in a related field of training or education in a college or university that has been granted the CHF scholarship allocation. * Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents * Students who have received other Canadian Hospitality Foundation scholarships in the past are eligible to apply for this scholarship.How to ApplyPlease submit your completed application form and the following documents to the Awards Officer or your professor. Who Can Apply * College students currently enrolled in the third or fourth year of a community college Bachelor of Applied Business Degree in Hospitality Management. Applicant should have finished a diploma program and proceeding to the Bachelor's degree. * Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants * Applicants must not have received other Canadian Hospitality Foundation scholarshipCriteriaApplications are reviewed by the scholarship sponsor and will be judged on the following criteria. IFEC Scholarships for Foodservice Communication Careers
IFEC scholarships are intended to assist students pursuing careers as writers, editors, public relations and marketing communication practitioners and closely related areas within the foodservice industry. EligibilityTo be considered eligible for an award, a student must be currently enrolled and in good standing in a post-secondary, degree-granting educational institution in the U.S. and have an expected graduation date that is after December 31, 2011.The student must show evidence of training, skill and interest in both foodservice and the communication arts. The combination of studies and/or work experience in both the foodservice field and the communication arts is necessary. Applicants should have a strong academic record, good character references and demonstrate financial need. Majors considered applicable in the foodservice area include culinary arts, hotel, restaurant and institutional management, hospitality management, dietetics, nutrition, food science and technology, and related studies. Applicable majors in the communication area include journalism, public relations, mass communication, English, broadcast journalism, marketing, photography, graphic arts, and related studies.
Icon of Industry Scholarship
Founded in 1984, NEWH is an international non-profit organization, with 18 chapters and 6 affiliated areas, which links professionals from every facet of the hospitality industry and related fields. The NEWH By-laws state one of the objectives of NEWH is to promote scholarship, education and interest in the Hospitality Industry. To date, NEWH has given $3,00,000.00+ USD in scholarships to young people wishing to pursue careers in the hospitality industry.
The NEWH Icons of Industry Scholarship Award will be based upon the following criteria:
Must be a currently enrolled student attending an accredited college
Must have completed half the requirements for an undergraduate degree or be enrolled in a graduate program
Must show financial need and have eligible outstanding debt for tuition, books or supplies at time of scholarship award in May 5
Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
Must be pursuing a career objective in the area of the Hospitality Industry with an emphasis towards the area(s) of hospitality determined by our ICON (criteria changes annually)
Must have participated in an internship program or similar position
An eligible school is defined as one that is fully accredited and will hold the scholarship moneys in trust for the student to draw down upon on an “as needed” basis without any service charges.
Opens in May with deadline to apply in mid-September. Winner $5,000 scholarship award given at Gold Key Ceremony in New York in November. Honorable mention $3,5000 scholarship award given at HD Expo in Las Vegas the following May. Student travel and lodging paid by NEWH, Inc. winning student must attend award event and have eligible debt at time of award.
FR-One Scholarship Award
The FR-One Scholarship Award sponsored by the late Harvey Nudelman and Fabricut. This is the eighth consecutive year for the $3,000 scholarship to be given to a student pursuing a career affiliated with the Hospitality Industry in Interior Design.
The scholarship opens in September with a December deadline date.

Imagine America High School Scholarship
The Imagine America Foundation created its Imagine America High School Scholarship Program in 1998 to help provide scholarships for high school students. This annual scholarship program has helped thousands of high school seniors afford a career education at hundreds of career schools across the United States. Each year, every high school in the United States and Puerto Rico may nominate up to five graduating seniors to receive a $1,000 Imagine America scholarship!
Arkansas Tourism and Hospitality Education Foundation Scholarship
Every year, the Arkansas Hospitality Association, along with the assistance of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF), offers a co-branded scholarship to individuals who are interested in pursuing a hospitality-related degree. Scholarship monies range from $500-$2,000 and are based on criteria included in the application. The proceeds from the annual Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism Silent and Live Auctions are donated to the Arkansas Tourism Development Foundation, to help fund the scholarships that are given out annually to students pursuing hospitality industry degrees. Without these auctions, this scholarship could not be the success that it is today!
STEP #1: Make sure you are qualified for this scholarship. Please read through the
qualifications below. If you don’t meet ALL of these qualifications you are not eligible to apply.
To be eligible to apply, you must:
1.) Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and a resident of Arkansas
2.) Be a graduating high school student that has been accepted and enrolled into an AHA-approved Hospitality Program accredited culinary school, college, or university OR currently enrolled full-time or substantial part-time (minimum of 9 credit hours) in an AHA-approved Hospitality Program accredited culinary school, college, or university
4.) Be enrolled for two consecutive terms, not entering your last semester before graduating
5.) Students who are enrolled in an Internship Prep class will NOT be processed due to lack of
credit hours
STEP #2: Gather all the required documentation
To be considered for a scholarship, your application packet must include the following:
For entering Freshman:
1.) A minimum of two letters of recommendation from persons in the hospitality industry and/or instructors.
2.) An official high school transcript for students entering their first year of higher education.
3.) Entering freshman will need to supply a copy of your acceptance letter to a postsecondary hospitality program
stating your intended program of study.
4.) Entering freshman will need to supply proof of enrollment.
General awards require a minimum 2.5 GPA.
For returning postsecondary students:
1.) A minimum of two letters of recommendation from persons in the hospitality industry and/or hospitality
instructors.
2.) An official college transcript for returning postsecondary students.
3.) Proof of enrollment.
