Fairlawn Foundation Robert S. Schedin Scholarship
For a Worcester area student to pursue studies in the ancillary health care fields (such as physical therapy, respiratory therapy, lab technician, etc.) at a four-year college or university in Worcester.
Leicester Samaritan Nursing Association Schp
For residents of Leicester to pursue full or part-time studies in a health-related field.
Tribal Priority Scholarship
This highly competitive scholarship is awarded to encourage Hopi college students to obtain baccalaureate and graduate degrees in subject areas of priority interest to the Hopi Tribe, and to encourage these graduates to apply their degrees to Hopi Tribal Goals and Objectives. This scholarship is only available to college juniors, seniors and graduate students pursuing a baccalaureate or graduate degree in one of the following areas: law, natural resources, education, medicine/health, engineering or business.
Dr. Mehdi S. & Judith S. Eslami Fund
Preferably a resident of Southbury. - Entering a four-year college or university with interest in health related field or medicine. - Applicant must be a resident of the Foundation's 21 town service areas.
The DuPage Medical Society Scholarships
The Foundation strives to meet this mission by providing scholarship grants to health care students from DuPage County.
To be eligible for a scholarship grant from the Foundation, students must be enrolled in or accepted for admission to a professional education or training program before applying, and they must exhibit a strong academic background in addition to financial need. Students in prerequisite and undergraduate curriculum (i.e. pre-med) are not eligible for these scholarships. The number of scholarships granted varies each year. The average amount of each scholarship is $1000.
Barbara Michaelis Scholarship
Preference to students majoring in Allied Health or a pre-professional program related to a medical field with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Financial need shall be considered.
Dr. Don R. Fuertges Fund for Excellence - Scholarship
Preference for graduate students majoring in Health and Human Performance with a minimum 3.3 GPA and who intend to pursue their doctorate degree and who espouse and maintain physical and mental wellness. In addition to this application, applicants must provide a philosophy paper with career/professionals goals; a resume and vitae and both undergraduate and graduate transcripts to the Department of Health and Human Performance.
Dr. Edmund C. Shearer Memorial Chemistry Scholarship
Eligibility: 1. Applicant must be a Kansas resident majoring in Chemistry with an emphasis in a health related field. 2. Applicant must be classified as sophomore with first preference for students with 45 or more hours and second preference for students with 30 or more hours.
Hays Medical Center Volunteers Scholarship
Student must be a junior or senior with high academic standing majoring in the health-related fields.
Health & Human Performance Faculty & Alumni Scholarship
Must be a Health & Human Performance major who has completed at least 45 hours toward a degree and have a 2.5 GPA.
Penne Fuertges Memorial Scholarship
Scholarships are for junior, senior or graduate students with a major in Health and Human Performance (Health Promotion emphasis preferred). Priority given to students who display academic excellence, financial need, with a career objective of working with stroke survivors or in a clinical health/ wellness setting.
Harry N. and Melva A. Derickson Scholarship
The Harry N. and Melva A. Derickson Scholarship Fund is an endowment fund of The Foundation for Enhancing
Communities. The income from the fund is used to assist residents from Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties
for a course of study in preparation for medical or dental school, nursing, physical therapy, other medical related
fields, or engineering. Students will be enrolled in undergraduate programs at two or four year colleges or
universities. There will be multiple awards at varying amounts. It is preferred that the number of scholarships be split
equally between males and females.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Residents of Dauphin, Cumberland, or Perry counties
2. Desire to pursue a course of study in preparation for engineering, medical school, dental school, nursing,
physical therapy, or other medical related fields
3. Academic achievement
4. Extracurricular activities
5. Service to the community
6. Financial need
