Here are some of the Finance scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.

Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship

Through the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program, the ACFE Foundation supports the education of collegiate accounting and criminal justice students around the globe. ELIGIBILITY ACFE Foundation scholarships are open to U.S. and International students. The Scholarships are U.S. $1,000 and include a one-year ACFE Student Associate membership. Scholarships will be paid directly to the student’s university. To be eligible the applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student, currently enrolled full-time (9 semester hours undergraduate; 6 semester hours post-graduate, or equivalent per term) at an accredited four-year college or university (or equivalent) with a declared major or minor in accounting, business, finance, or criminal justice. The following persons are not eligible for the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship: * Past winners of the scholarship * Junior college, community college, and high school students (including graduating seniors) * Students who are related to any officer, director, or substantial contributor of the ACFE Foundation, or to any member of the ACFE Foundation Scholarship Committee

Marsha Marie Trent Award

Available to business related majors in the Business Department To reward those students who have demonstrated consistent and outstanding academic achievement in high school and college and tend to be a worthy student of good character. For students with proven academic records, financial need or demonstrated leadership potential in any area. Instructions for Application: 1. All applicants must attach academic official transcripts to their applications.

Mid-Atlantic Security Traders Foundation Scholarship

The Mid-Atlantic Security Traders Foundation, Inc. is pleased to offer our annual scholarship award. The Mid-Atlantic Security Traders Association is a non-profit organization and an affiliate of the Security Traders Association, www.sta.org. The Security Traders Association, (STA), founded in 1934, is a professional trade organization that works to improve the ethics, business standards and working environment for members who are engaged in the buying, selling and trading of securities. With 27 affiliate organizations nationally and internationally and over 5,200 members, STA is the largest organization of its kind in the world.Who Is Eligible for the Foundation ScholarshipsEligible candidates to be considered for the scholarship application should be undergraduates who are currently sophomore or junior business majors with a concentration in finance or economics and who are enrolled at a four-year state-sponsored college or university. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens.Requirements for applying for the Foundation ScholarshipsRequirements consist of a completed application form, grade point average transcript, and school and summer addresses and telephone numbers. Also, a 500-word essay entitled “How the securities markets affect our daily lives” is required.The scholarship committee has established the following guidelines for evaluating candidates:1) Grade Point Average2) Essay3) Awards/academic honors received in and out of college4) Extracurricular/school/athletic activities5) Letters of reference (minimum 2)

Minbanc Foundation Scholarship Program

Scholarship Criteria: * A maximum of $3,000 in scholarships can be awarded per bank, per calendar year. * Scholarships are offered as tuition reimbursement. Travel and any expenses (hotel, meals, etc.) related to attending the course(s) are not eligible for reimbursement. * Scholarships are awarded to employees at the management or officer level. * Scholarship requests are viewed and approved on a quarterly basis. * Scholarship requests are accepted on a rolling basis, but must be submitted for coursework completed within the last (90) days.In accordance with Minbanc bylaws, scholarships are awarded only for banking-related courses. Courses must be relevant to the management of a financial institution or address current banking-industry issues, etc. General management courses or courses related to an individual’s continuation of a college or university degree program do not qualify for a Minbanc scholarship.

Benassurance Group Women in Business Scholarship

The Benassurance Group Women In Business Scholarship was formed to empower our newest generation of female students who are about to enter into the business community. The Benassurance Group will recognize an exceptional female student for her interest and/or experience in one or more of the following areas:  Insurance  Entrepreneurship  Finance  Sales  Marketing  Management Eligibility To be considered for the Women In Business Scholarship, the applicant must meet the following requirements:  Reside in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area  Current enrollment as a full time, undergraduate student  Provide current resume  Optional: Students may include a statement of 250 words or less to provide the selection committee with additional information. This is not required. Award 3 Female Finalists will be selected. The overall winner will receive a $750 award and each of the remaining finalists will receive a $125 award. Finalists will attend a 30-minute interview at the Benassurance Group office in Alexandria, VA.

The New York Life Excellence Award

In continuous effort to recognize high achievers, NSCS is proud to present "The New York Life Excellence Award." This award is made possible by New York Life and will provide five (5) NSCS members with majors in or plans to pursue a career in insurance/financial service related fields with a scholarship of $1,000 each.Eligibility * Must have a 3.4 G.P.A. * Must be attending an accredited University. * Must be active NSCS member * Must create a profile on www.koda.us/nscs. Your Koda Profile must be at least 80% completed. (This is indicated on the koda.us website). * Students must be majoring/or plan to pursue insurance/financial services related fields. * Please note, all scholarships funds will be disbursed directly to the school.

Karla Scherer Foundation Scholarship

The Karla Scherer Foundation exclusively offers one type of scholarship. It is made available to female students majoring only in Finance or Economics with plans for a corporate busniess career in the private sector. Please note that it is not available beyond this very narrow focus. Academic majors such as accounting, information management systems, marketing, hotel management and the like do not qualify, nor do careers in the public service sectors such as health care, banking, financial services and consulting. Women majoring in Economics or Finance who are most likely to become tomorrow's CEO's or CFO's of manufacturing companies are specifically targeted. Letters are accepted from high school seniors through Ph.D. candidates. There are no age or geographic limitations. Both U.S. citizens and international students may apply. International students must already have a United States visa for study. A candidate must have determined the college she will be attending and she must have so informed that institution.

Global Business Diversity Scholarship

S P Jain School of Global Management provides tuition grants for its tri-city business degrees, both undergraduate and graduate. All students live in 3 cities: Singapore, Dubai and Sydney, Australia, and earn degrees in international business (marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, e-business, family business, etc.). Awards can be for full tuition, depending on qualification, but students must pay their own living expenses, transportation, and other fees. These "diversity" scholarships are designed to attract "international" students, meaning that applicants do NOT come from India, Pakistan or Sri Lanka, nor are they of Indian parentage. We are especially interested in attracting students from North and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Russia and Central Asia, to strengthen the global nature of our student population. Candidates must: * Have a strong academic record (top 20% of high school or college class) * Have a keen interest in international business * Have excellent English skills (spoken, written, listening), as all classes are in English * Be independent and adventurous, as you will be living in 3 countries * Be of high ethical character * Use scholarship funds to pay for tuition at S P Jain School of Global Management * Hold a high school diploma (if applying for a bachelor's program), and a college/university diploma in any subject (if applying for a masters program) To learn more about various S P Jain's prestigious and unique programs, visit www.spjain.org. APIASF/Hilton Scholarship

Minimum Eligibility Criteria Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply Be enrolling in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED Must apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15 Submit one letter of recommendation online. Preference for the following majors: hospitality, hotel management, business, finance, marketing or international affairs

HSF/GE Hispanic Forum Scholarship Program

Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic heritage Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) or be granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Must intend to enroll as an undergraduate Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior or 5th Year Senior in the next academic year and be pursuing first undergraduate degree Must major in one of the following: Accounting, Aeronautics/Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering/Biotechnology, Biology, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybernetics/Robotics, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Finance, Industrial Engineering/Technology, Information Technology (IT/MIS), International Business, Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, Materials Science/Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Mechanical Engineering, Neuroscience, Nuclear Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, Science, Supply Chain Management, Telecommunications Have plans to enroll FULL-TIME at a four-year U.S. accredited college or university in the geographic locations listed above. Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). DACA applicants must submit household income information. Will be invited to be mentored by a GE Hispanic Forum member and enrolled into a career readiness program Please check website for deadline of application.

AICP Scholarship Program

Up to three (3) $1,000.00 scholarships may be awarded annually for tuition and fees to an accredited educational institution. Disbursement of scholarships for tuition and fees will be made directly to an accredited educational institution. Scholarships are not renewable; however, a recipient may reapply. At a minimum: An undergraduate applicant must be a full-time student, as defined by the accredited educational institution the applicant is attending, and must have completed the first year and one semester of the second year in that educational institution. A graduate applicant must be taking at least two courses at an accredited educational institution and must have completed four (4) graduate credit courses in his/her chosen program. The applicant's status must meet the above requirements for the term subsequent to when the scholarship is awarded. Applicants must have declared his/her major course work to be in the field of Insurance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Management, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics, or a Business-related field. Applicants must have a cumulative G.P.A. at the time of application of at least 3.00. Applicants must submit the following information for consideration: A completed application. An official transcript of his/her most recent grades or a copy of his/her latest report card, providing that it shows the cumulative grade point average. A resume noting such items as academic achievements and involvement in scholastic activities, extracurricular activities, and leadership roles. A short narrative describing any current and/or future interest to pursue education/career in the insurance field. A letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, business or civic leader, or member of the clergy. The Scholarship Selection Sub-Committee will make their selections of the eligible candidates based upon: Grade Point Average; Involvement in extra-curricular activities; and, Level of educational interest and dedication to the insurance industry. Preference will be given to an AICP member or a relative of an AICP member. Individuals (including past recipients of scholarship) may re-apply each year. Incomplete applications and late materials will not be considered. The AICP reserves the right to reject any applicant, at any time, for any reason.

The DOC COHEN FRANCHISING SCHOLARSHIP

This program will support the award of a scholarship in the amount of $4,500, including a $500 travel stipend to the IFA Annual Convention. The award will be coordinated with DECA and the IFA Educational Foundation. Scholarship candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, with a major or primary focus in one or more of these areas of study - business, finance, marketing, food service, hospitality, franchising, or entrepreneurship. Criteria: An annual scholarship will be awarded to a college student who meets the selection criteria set forth below: The award will be coordinated with DECA and the IFA Educational Foundation. Scholarship candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or university with a major or primary focus in one or more of these areas of study - business, finance, marketing, food service, hospitality, franchising, or entrepreneurship. Candidates will complete an application form with a brief summary of academic record, course of study, interest in business and franchising and two reference letters. Special consideration will be given to winning team members in DECA's annual college franchising entrepreneurship competition or similar competitions organized by DECA. Students participating in the DECA competitions will be invited to submit applications for the scholarship.
