SAE / Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies Scholarship
Student Eligibility Requirements: * U.S. citizenship (not permanent resident). * Current high school senior. * 3.0 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale. * Rank in the 90th percentile in both match and critical reading on SAT 1 or the composite ACT scores. * Citizen of the United States required at the time of application (not permanent resident). * Pursuing a bachelor/associate degree in engineering or technology through an ABET accredited program. * Planning to attend an accredited college or university in the United States in the fall. * Past or present student of a Ford PAS program at their high school or in a Ford PAS after-school/weekend/summer/college program. Terms of Scholarship:One $5,000 scholarship will be awarded each year.How to Apply: * Begin the application process online. * If you are qualified, you will be prompted to continue the process and submit the following: o Official copy of your high school transcript with SAT/ACT scores. o Two letters of reference. One reference must come from a Ford PAS instructor. * All information must be submitted by January 15. Selection and Announcement of Recipients: * Recipient will be selected by the SAE Scholarship Committee and notified by the end of June. * Applicants not selected will be notified by the end of July. Payment of Scholarship Funds: * This scholarship will be paid into your account at your selected university in July/August. * It can be used for tuition or any other incidental school expenses. Terms for Renewal of Scholarship: This scholarship is not renewable.
Praxair International Scholarship
The purpose for this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those individuals demonstrating his/her leadership abilities, and interested in pursuing a career in welding engineering or welding engineering technology. Eligibility The Praxair International Scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student demonstrating leadership abilities and pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in welding engineering (WE) or welding engineering technology (WET); however, priority will be given to welding engineering (WE) students. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements. * Applicant must be a minimum of eighteen years of age. * Applicant must have a minimum high school diploma. * Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours). * Applicant must submit all required application information. * Financial need is not a criteria in order to apply; however, it would be a primary consideration in prioritizing top candidates. * Applicant must maintain a minimum 2.5 overall grade point average in order to qualify. * Applicant should have demonstrated leadership abilities through clubs, organizations, extra-curricular academic activities, community involvement, etc. * Applicant must be a United States or Canadian citizen and plan to attend an academic institution within the United States or Canada. * Applicants may reapply; however, persons who have received this award may reapply and may be granted the award for a maximum of four years. The award will be presented to individuals nationwide. Applicant does not have to be a member of the American Welding Society. The AWS Foundation does not discriminate by age, race, color, national origin, disability, creed, or gender. Selection Applicant will be chosen by the Named Scholarship Selection Committee comprised of five (5) members, which have been selected by the National Educational Scholarship Committee. Selection committee will determine award recipient in February of each year. Recipient will be announced at the National Awards Luncheon Awards One $2,500 award will be given annually. No awards will be paid to the recipient. All awards are for tuition and books only, and will be paid directly to the academic institution by the AWS Foundation. Jerry Robinson - Inweld Corporation Scholarship
The purpose for this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those individuals, with significant financial need, interested in pursuing a career in welding. The scholarship is available to the recipient for a maximum of four years, based on GPA requirement, full time attendance, and welding curriculum. Eligibility The Jerry Robinson - Inweld Corporation Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in a welding program at an accredited university. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements. * Applicant must be a minimum of eighteen years of age as of October 1 of the year the scholarship is awarded. * Applicant must have a minimum high school diploma or G. E. D. in the year the scholarship is awarded. * Applicant must have a 2.5 overall grade point average. * Applicant must provide an essay as to why the funds are needed, how the scholarship would change his/her life, how it would allow him/her to further the joining sciences. * Student must be accepted at the specified university/college, and attend full-time. * Proof of financial need is required to qualify. Copies of student and parents/guardians previous year tax returns will be required. Student must provide proof that other financial aid has been applied for. * Applicant must submit all required application information. * Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and plan to attend an academic institution located within the United States. * Applicants may reapply; however, persons who have received this award will automatically be eligible to be granted the award for a maximum of four years. * This award is renewable for a maximum of four years. However, it will be the responsibility of the recipient to provide proof of the required designated GPA, full time attendance, and appropriate approved curriculum to continue receipt of scholarship. Deadline for the receipt of the final college transcript, proof of attendance, and proof of major will be July 1 of each year. Failure to provide this information by July 1 will result in the recipient being deemed ineligible for future awards. The award will be presented to individuals nationwide. GeneTex for Education
GeneTex believes in accelerating scientific advancement and the notion that the genesis of future discoveries begins with the support of young scientists now. The GeneTex Scholarship Program will award a $2000 (USD) scholarship to students pursuing a STEM undergraduate or graduate degree. The scholarship will be awarded to one student twice a year.
PDX Abroad Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student who attends a US university/college located Portland, Oregon. Applicants must meet general FEA scholarship eligibility requirements & preferences. Students interested in being considered for this annual scholarship should indicate this through their application forms. This scholarship is made possible by the generous support and fundraising efforts of international educators at PDX Abroad. PDX Abroad is a community of innovators advancing the field of education abroad through active engagement across institutional and organizational boundaries.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a college or university in the U.S.
Must be applying for a study abroad program eligible for credit at the student’s educational institution
Must plan to study abroad for a minimum of 4 weeks in country
Is committed to supporting education abroad in his/her campus community through work with the FEA and his/her campus education abroad staff upon return
Preferences:
Applying to a study abroad program known for its academic rigor and immersion elements
Applying to a study abroad program that includes studying the language of the host country (if not English)
Applying to a study abroad program with a sustainable service-learning or volunteering component
Applying to a study abroad program in a non-traditional destination
Demonstrates financial need
FEA strongly encourages students to apply who represent a group that is traditionally underrepresented in education abroad

AISES Travel Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - Applicants MUST meet all of the following criteria: 1. Must have a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA). 2. Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited four year college/university, or a full-time student at a two year college enrolled in a program leading to an academic degree. 3. Majoring in one of the following college disciplines at a accredited 4-year college or university: * Math * Medicine * Physical Science * Technology * Science * Engineering * Natural Resources 4. Must be a member of an American Indian tribe or otherwise considered to be an American Indian by the tribe with which affiliation is claimed; or is at least 1/4 American Indian blood; or is at least 1/4 Alaskan Native; or considered to be an Alaskan Native by an Alaskan Native group to which affiliation is claimed. 5. Polymer Modifiers & Additives Division Scholarship
1. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students in either a four-year college or a two-year technical program. 2. Applicants must be graduates of public or private high schools. Criteria: 1. Applicants must have a demonstrated or expressed interest in the plastics industry. 2. Applicants must be majoring in or taking courses that would be beneficial to a career in the plastics industry. This would include but is not limited to plastics engineering, polymer science, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and business administration. 3. An applicant must be in good academic standing with his or her college. 4. Financial need of applicant will be considered.
Robert E. Cramer/Product Design & Dvpmt Division
1. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students in either a four-year college or a two-year technical program. 2. Applicants must be graduates of public or private high schools. Criteria: 1. Robert G. Dailey/Detroit Section Scholarship
1. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students in either a four-year college or a two-year technical program. 2. Applicants must be graduates of public or private high schools. Criteria: 1. Applicants must have a demonstrated or expressed interest in the plastics industry. 2. Applicants must be majoring in or taking courses that would be beneficial to a career in the plastics industry. This would include but is not limited to plastics engineering, polymer science, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and business administration. 3. Western Michigan Univ/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Applicants must be a resident of Michigan. The top two candidates from the pool will be awarded a scholarship based on appropriateness of high school courses to preparation for engineering and technology education at Western Michigan, admission GPA and ACT scores. Two scholarships valued at $4,000-$10,000 over a four-year period will be awarded. To continue to receive the scholarship, the recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Stanley Butkiewicz Memorial Scholarship
Requirements:# ReferencesOther Requirements: • Must be pursuing a career/education that requires some math background. • Industrial Arts or Technology is a plus.
St. Louis Chapter 17 Scholarship Award
Scholarship applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a manufacturing engineering, industrial technology, or other related program at one of the following sponsored institutions: Jefferson College, Mineral Area College, St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley, University of Missouri, Southeast Missouri Sate University, Southern Illinois University. Applicants from the above institutions must be: a freshman at one of the two-year institutions, a sophomore at one of the two-year institutions and accepted to one of the four-year institutions, or a junior or below at one of the four-year institutions. Scholarship applicants must possess an overall minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Students applying in their freshman year of college must use their high school senior year as their GPA. At his level, eligible applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Each recipient must maintain an overall 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and a minimum 3.0 GPA in manufacturing/engineering courses to continue their eligibility for this award throughout the academic year. Students may submit a scholarship application in succeeding years. Need is a consideration in awarding scholarships only when two or more applicants have equal qualifications.
