Here are some of the Engineering scholarships on our site for which you may qualify.
Calvin College/The James Bosscher/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Student Eligibility: Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen enrolled in the engineering program and who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and potential.
Terms: One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded. This scholarship is renewable for the sophomore year contingent on continued enrollment in engineering and satisfactory performance in the first year.
University of Detroit Mercy/College of Engineering & Science/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Student Eligibility: Applicant must be an incoming freshman or transfer student admitted directly into an engineering program at UDM. Selection will be based on academic and leadership achievement.
Terms: Two $500 scholarships will be awarded each year. Scholarship may be renewed for one additional year if a 3.0 GPA is maintained and student remains in the engineering program.
Geneva College/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Student Eligibility: The prospective student must be an incoming freshman who will major in engineering. The scholarship will be based on merit and financial need. Students interested must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1.
Terms: The scholarship recipient will be awarded a four year $2,000 scholarship. A 3.0 GPA must be maintained in order to continue the scholarship in subsequent years.

GRAND VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY/PADNOS/SAE
TMC / SAE Donald D. Dawson Technical Scholarship
SAE and The Maintenance Council of American Trucking Associations have established this technical education scholarship to honor the leadership of Donald D. Dawson. From his position as Vice President of Maintenance with Roadway Express, Mr. Dawson worked through SAE and TMC to merge the goals of truck equipment users and manufacturers.
This scholarship is intended to encourage the ideal of Mr. Dawson's respected technical competence in transport management.
Student Eligibility Requirements:
U.S. resident
3.25 grade point average.
SAT I math 600 or above and critical reading 550 or above and/or an ACT composite score 27 or above.
Pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program.
Students transferring from accredited four-year colleges/universities must have a 3.0 or higher grade point average.
Students transferring from post-secondary technical/vocational schools must have a 3.5 or higher grade point average and meet all other requirements of the engineering program to which they apply.
Terms of Scholarship:
One scholarship will be awarded each year for $1,500 per year.
Scholarship may be renewed at $1,500 a year for three additional years (total award $6,000).

How to Apply:
Pursue an engineering or related science degree through an ABET accredited program.

Submit Application that includes an essay which demonstrates evidence of hands-on automotive experience or activity (e.g., rebuilding engines, working on cars/trucks, etc.).

Selection and Announcement of Recipient:
Recipient will be selected by the TMC Scholarship Committee and notified by the end of June.
All SAE Scholarship winners will be posted in July/August.
Payment of Scholarship Funds:
This scholarship will be paid into your account at your selected university in July/August.
It can be used for tuition or any other incidental school expenses.
Terms for Renewal of Scholarship: May be renewed for $1,500 per year for three additional years.
Must maintain a 3.0 grade point average.
Must continue enrollment in engineering.
Submit the renewal form by May 30.
University of the Pacific/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Student Eligibility: Applicants must be incoming freshmen accepted by the School of Engineering and Computer Science. They should major in Mechanical Engineering and join SAE International as a student member.
Terms: One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded, and is renewable for four years provided that the student remains in good academic standing at Pacific.
Oakland University/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Student Eligibility: Applicant must be an incoming freshman who will be pursuing a degree in the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Oakland University.
Terms: A $1,000 freshman scholarship will be awarded.
Ohio State University/Motorsports Team/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Student Eligibility: Incoming (first year or transfer) students. Undergraduate scholarship winners will be selected on the basis of demonstrated potential to contribute to the success of Ohio State's motorsports teams. Prior participation in successful team efforts, technical aptitude, leadership potential, and a solid record are all important elements in the selection process.
Terms: Up to three $500 scholarships will be awarded.
Rochester Institute of Technology/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Student Eligibility: Applicants must be incoming freshmen and enrolled in one of RIT's engineering or engineering technology programs. Scholarships will be granted based on academic credentials and leadership potential. A personal interview is recommended.
Terms: Up to twenty-five (25) $5,000 scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship will be renewable for three additional years of academic study contingent upon a 2.8 (B) average at RIT.
Southern Methodist Univ/SAE Engineering Schp
Applicants must apply to SMU's Admissions Office by January 15 to be considered for scholarships. Three $8,000 freshan scholarships will be offered, renewable for a total of four school years by maintaining a 3.0 GPA, full-time student status, and taking courses leading to graduation as an engineer.
Stevens Institute of Technology/SAE Engineering Scholarship
The engineering program, which leads to the Bachelor of Engineering degree, attracts 60% of the current student body. A key component of the Stevens program is the design spine - a sequence of design courses each semester that integrates all courses. Freshmen take core courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science and humanities. As sophomores, students choose one of nine concentrations: Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Management, Mechanical, Naval, and Information Systems. Dual and accelerated degree programs, including a combined bachelor's and master's degree, as well as various minors, are also available. All seniors are responsible for a 10-credit design project. High achieving undergraduates are considered for various engineering honor societies and the Stevens Scholars Program.
Terms: Two four-year scholarships, worth at least $6,000 annually, in any field of engineering. Recipients must maintain a "B" average for this scholarship to continue past the freshman year.

SUNY-Alfred/Vernon Gleasman/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Student Eligibility: Incoming freshmen and transfer students academically prepared to pursue an associate or baccalaureate degree in engineering technology will be eligible. Preference will be given to students enrolling in mechanical engineering technology or mechanical design engineering technology.
Terms: One $500 scholarship will be offered. For more information contact the Admissions Office at Alfred State.
SUNY at Stony Brook/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Student Eligibility: Incoming freshmen admitted directly to one of the five Bachelor of Engineering degree programs are eligible. The scholarship will be based on academic achievement and demonstrated motivation for a career as a professional engineer.
Terms: Four $2,000 scholarships renewable for up to 4 years if a 3.0 GPA in a Bachelor of Engineering program is maintained; $2,500 per year in years 3 and 4 for students active in the campus chapter of SAE.
