Electronics Scholarships

Over $1,700,000 in tuition scholarships are being offered in both degree and diploma programs to Florida high school graduates. These scholarships are available in such diverse specialties as business administration, electronic engineering technology, drafting and computer assisted design, secretarial, fashion merchandising and design, accounting, cartooning/illustration, court reporting, professional mariner, culinary arts, hospitality management, private investigation, nail and skin care technology, respiratory therapy technician, travel and tourism, cosmetology, video film production and recording arts, automotive service technology, photography, industrial design technology, music and video business, allied health administration, air conditioning and refrigeration technology, paralegal studies, interior design, therapeutic massage, rescue and advanced open water diving, cardiovascular technologist, visual communication, medical or dental assisting and other business, health care and technical/career fields.

Eligibility Criteria:•Must be of Hispanic background•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico•Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale•Must demonstrate financial need•Must be studying a major that falls under the Other Majors Application

Eligibility Criteria:•Display outstanding achievement in the field of electronics, radio/TV or electricity.•Be a student for at least 2 semesters at the Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center.•Be a graduating senior attending, or who has attended, the Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center.•Be accepted to a university or college to complete career preparation.•Exhibit outstanding attitude toward school and community.

The Imagine America Foundation created its Imagine America High School Scholarship Program in 1998 to help provide scholarships for high school students. This annual scholarship program has helped thousands of high school seniors afford a career education at hundreds of career schools across the United States. Each year, every high school in the United States and Puerto Rico may nominate up to five graduating seniors to receive a $1,000 Imagine America scholarship!

AFCEA DC awards multiple single-year standard scholarships in the amount of $4,000 each, and one single-year scholarship in the amount of $8,000 to Metro-area high school seniors in the Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland area. Second-year students in area community colleges who are entering a four-year college may apply for one-time scholarships of $2,000. Scholarship awards are provided to qualified students pursuing degrees in the C4I-related fields of engineering (electrical, computer, chemical, aerospace or systems); electronics; mathematics; computer science; physics; science education; mathematics education; technology management; or management information systems.

The Agency is looking for high school seniors who meet all of these requirements: - U.S. citizen - 18 years of age by 1 April of senior year - 1000 SAT/21 ACT scores or higher - 3.0/4.0 scale high school GPA or higher - Financial need for tuition assistance - Meet the same employment standards as permanent employees

The Asian Pacific Community Fund partners with Verizon to financially assist students in their pursuit of higher education as they face the challenge of significantly rising costs of obtaining a college degree. These awards will support those who excel academically, are leaders amongst their peers and are making a positive impact in their communities. Eligibility: Students who are residents of California, Oregon or Washington OR students attending college in one of those states High School Senior who plan to enroll as a 1st year college student in a U.S. accredited 4-year college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student majoring in math, engineering, or a science (Please check website for complete listing of majors eligible for this scholarship) Have a minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0

Scholarships of $5,000 will be awarded to full-time students pursuing an undergraduate degree in an eligible major and currently enrolled in an accredited Historically Black College or University (HBCU) institution in the United States. Distance-learning or online programs affiliated with one of these institutions are eligible. Candidates must be at least second-year college students, enrolled full time as sophomores or juniors at the time of application. Scholarships of $3,000 will be awarded to full-time graduate students currently working toward a master's degree in an eligible major. Graduate students are not required to be enrolled in an HBCU institution. Distance-learning or online programs will not qualify. Eligibility: NOTE: Degree-seeking candidates must be U.S. citizens. Undergraduate students must be currently enrolled and attending either a two-year or four-year accredited HBCU institution in the United States. Students also may be enrolled in an accredited distance-learning or online degree program affiliated with one of these institutions. Applications will be accepted from qualified sophomore and junior students (minimum second-year students only) enrolled full-time in an eligible degree-seeking program. Eligible majors include the following or related STEM subjects: electrical, aerospace, systems or computer engineering; computer engineering technology; computer information systems; information systems management; computer science; physics; or mathematics. Majors directly related to the support of U.S.intelligence or homeland security enterprises with relevance to the mission of AFCEA will also be eligible. Graduate-level eligible degree programs include the following or related fields of electrical, electronics, chemical, systems or communications engineering; physics; mathematics; computer science; technology management; or information technology. An overall GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) is required. Special consideration will be given to military enlisted candidates/military veterans. Merit-based scholarships of varying amounts will be awarded to persons on active duty in the uniformed military services, to honorably discharged U.S. military veterans (including Reservists and National Guard personnel), and to disabled veterans who are currently enrolled part time or full time in an eligible degree program at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the U.S. Eligible candidates must be at least second-year college students enrolled full time as sophomores or juniors in four-year institutions at the time of application. All candidates must provide a copy of Certificate of Service, Discharge Form DD214, copy of latest performance review or other verification of service. (Please black out your Social Security Number when submitting.) Distance-learning or online programs affiliated with a major U.S. institution are eligible. Eligibility: Applicants must be: 1. U.S. citizen 2. Currently enrolled and attending either a two-year or four-year accredited college or university in the United States 3. An undergraduate student enrolled at the time of application 4. Enrolled part time or full time in an eligible degree program An overall 3.0 GPA is required. Candidates must be majoring in the following or C4I-related fields of electrical, aerospace, systems or computer engineering; computer engineering technology; computer network systems; information systems security; computer information systems; information systems management; technology management; electronics engineering technology; computer science; physics; or mathematics. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence or national security enterprises with relevance to the mission of AFCEA will also be eligible. If that is not possible, we will accept recommendations from commanding officers/employers in the related field of study.
