Regeneron STS is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science research competition for high school students. Started in 1942 as the Westinghouse Science Talent Search, Regeneron STS recognizes and empowers our nation’s most promising young scientists who are developing ideas that could solve society’s most urgent challenges. Each year, nearly 2,000 students enter the Regeneron STS, submitting original research in critically important scientific fields of study. Program Description: The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and General Motors (GM) have partnered to provide financial resources to assist outstanding Latinos pursuing degrees in Engineering and Business. The award amount is $2,500. Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic heritage. Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired). Be enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at a four-year U.S. accredited college or university in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands for the upcoming academic year (enrollment is verified in the Fall). Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent). Be majoring in Engineering (electrical, industrial, manufacturing and mechanical) or Business (accounting, business administration, economics and finance). Must complete the GM Online Assessment (required of semifinalist only).

Program Description: The HSF/Citigroup Fellows Award is a two-year award. Selected students will receive $5,000 for each of their junior and senior years for a total award of $10,000. Awards will be disbursed in two disbursements -fall and spring- of $2,500 during the academic year upon receipt of enrollment verification, and provided the student maintains the standards of academic progress as defined by HSF. HSF/Citigroup Fellows will also be paired with a Citigroup employee who will serve as a professional mentor and offer career guidance. HSF/Citigroup Fellows will be invited to attend a professional development conference in the fall of both their junior and senior years. The conferences are fully funded by the Citigroup Foundation and will take place in different locations throughout the United States. Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic heritage. Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired). Be a current sophomore enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited college or university in the United States; selected students must be enrolled as juniors during the following academic year. Be pursuing a degree in Business, Business Administration, Economics or Finance. Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent). Program Description: The Hispanic Scholarship Fund and JP Morgan Chase have partnered to provide scholarship opportunities to Hispanic students nationwide who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in business administration, finance, or economics. The scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to full-time degree-seeking students. The award amount is $2,500. Eligibility Requirements: Be of Hispanic heritage. Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired). Be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time, pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics at a U.S. accredited college or university in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands. Be a Sophomore or Junior in a U.S. accredited college or university during the current academic year. Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).

Open to undergraduate students already enrolled at the University of San Diego, UC San Diego, or San Diego State University with a minimum 2.50 GPA on a 4.0 scale and a demonstrated financial need. Applicants must be planning to study abroad for a minimum of one semester in a Second or Third World Country whose culture, language and customs are different than their own. Preference is given to students who are interested in studying in fields such as, but not limited to, international relations, business, economics, social development, humanitarian & civil rights, foreign languages, or other similar fields. Scholarships are also offered to foreign students who have come to one of the above named universities from developing nations in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

The scholarship provides room and board + $250/week. The Institute awards fellowships for an eight week summer program to study economics and monetary issues. College and university seniors who will be entering a doctoral program in economics or affiliated program (e.g., law and economics, economic history, etc.), and students enrolled in such programs for no more than one academic year may apply. The program is not designed for students wishing to pursue business school. The Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship program provides funding to participants as they are prepared academically and professionally to enter the United States Department of State Foreign Service. Women, members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, and students with financial need are encouraged to apply. The goal of the fellowship program is to attract outstanding students who enroll in two-year master's degree programs in public policy, international affairs, public administration, or academic fields such as business, economics, political science, sociology, or foreign languages, who represent all ethnic, racial and social backgrounds, and who have an interest in pursuing a Foreign Service career in the U.S. Department of State. The program develops a source of trained men and women who will represent the skill needs of the Department and who are dedicated to representing America's interests abroad. Fellowships: The fellowship award includes tuition, room, board, and mandatory fees during the junior and senior years of college and during the first year of graduate study.

Eligibility: Business major including economics, finance, business administration, marketing management; demonstrates interest in automotive analysis; full time student; undergraduate; minimum 3.0 grade point average.

Purpose: The Harry S Truman Foundation Scholarship Program gives college juniors interested in public service careers the opportunity to refine career goals and plan graduate studies by encouraging applicants to reflect on social issues and needs that they want to address. Programs Funded: Foundation Scholarships award up to $30,000 for graduate studies in the U.S. or abroad in public administration, public policy analysis, law, public health, international relations, government, economics, social services delivery, education, human resource development, conservation, environmental protection, and other relevant fields. Truman Scholars also participate in substantial summer leadership development programs in Washington, D.C.. Eligibility: Candidates are nominated by their colleges/universities. Nominees must be U.S citizens or nationals who are juniors in the upper quarter of the class, and who are committed to a career in public service. This may include employment in government at any level, uniformed services, public-interest organizations, nongovernmental research and/or educational organizations, public and private schools, and public service-oriented nonprofit organizations such as those whose primary purposes are to help needy or disadvantaged persons or to protect the environment. All majors are eligible. Selection Criteria: Screening focuses on the extent and quality of community service and government involvement, demonstrated commitment to careers in public service, academic performance, writing and analytical skills, leadership abilities, and the suitability of the nominee's proposed program of study for a career in public service. Application/Nomination Process: On-campus deadlines are normally in November. Interested students should begin work on their application well in advance, as the application requires several essays, including close analysis of a public policy issue. Pomona may nominate a limited number of students. One Scholar or more is selected from each state, and up to 30 additional Scholars are selected at large.
