Maurice Amado Dental Assisting Scholarship
The CDA Foundation has partnered with the Maurice Amado Foundation to establish a scholarship fund for dental assisting students. The Maurice Amado Dental Assisting Scholarship fund will provide ten, $1,000 scholarships to students enrolled in California dental assisting programs. This years scholarship awards will be based on financial need, community service/leadership, and achievement. Please note that internships or any other non-paid services that are part of a program curriculum or requirement do not qualify as volunteer community service/leadership under this scholarship program. The Maurice Amado Foundation was established in 1961 by Mr. Amado, a successful financier that immigrated from Turkey in the early 1900s. During his lifetime, Mr. Amado supported organizations that perpetuated Sephardic heritage and culture. Since his death in 1968, Mr. Amados nieces, nephews and their descendants have carried on his charitable work. Three generations of the Amado family currently direct the activities of the Maurice Amado Foundation. Limited to residents of California.
Bettie Underwood Dental Assisting Scholarship
The CDA Foundation has established a scholarship in memory of Bettie Underwood to support dental assisting students in pursuit of their educational goals. Bettie Underwood passed away and in her estate, left behind the wish to support students in the field of oral health, specifically dental assisting. Ms. Underwood was an outstanding leader in dental assisting in California and the nation. She served on the original AB1455 committee that paved the legislation for the Registered Dental Assistant in California and proudly proclaimed that she received RDA certificate #4 once the legislation was enacted. Ms. Underwood was president of the Northern California Dental Assistants Association and a long-time member of the California Dental Assistants Teachers Association. The Bettie Underwood Dental Assisting Scholarship fund will provide one $1,000 scholarship to a student enrolled in a California dental assisting program. The scholarship award will be based on financial need, community service/leadership, and achievement. The Callahan Memorial Award Commission, Inc. Scholarship
Scholarship awards to 2 graduating students of Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry or Ohio State United School of Dentistry. Initial approach: Letter Dentistry Limited to residents of Ohio.
Scholarship Award Program
Over $1,700,000 in tuition scholarships are being offered in both degree and diploma programs to Florida high school graduates. These scholarships are available in such diverse specialties as business administration, electronic engineering technology, drafting and computer assisted design, secretarial, fashion merchandising and design, accounting, cartooning/illustration, court reporting, professional mariner, culinary arts, hospitality management, private investigation, nail and skin care technology, respiratory therapy technician, travel and tourism, cosmetology, video film production and recording arts, automotive service technology, photography, industrial design technology, music and video business, allied health administration, air conditioning and refrigeration technology, paralegal studies, interior design, therapeutic massage, rescue and advanced open water diving, cardiovascular technologist, visual communication, medical or dental assisting and other business, health care and technical/career fields.
Dr. Roger Van Der Vorste Scholarship
Established by Pat Van Der Vorste in memory of her husband.Eligibility: Marshfield area resident (defined as including but not limited to Arpin, Auburndale, Blenker, Chili, Granton, Greenwood, Hewitt, Loyal, Marshfield, Neillsville, Spencer, Stratford, and Unity.); preference given to applicants enrolling in a program of study leading to a degree in Dentistry or Dental Hygiene; scheduled to be enrolled as an undergraduate on a full-time basis in one of the following: the University of Wisconsin System, the University of Wisconsin Colleges, the Wisconsin Technical College system, or Marquette University. Scholarship is renewable one time.Application: Available from the Marshfield Area CommunityFoundation.
AMRI Scholarship for Healthcare Students
American Medical Resource Institute (AMRI) is bringing back the annual scholarship program for students pursuing a career in the healthcare industry. This includes nurses, EMT’s, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. One applicant will be awarded $1,000 for completing a 2000-word essay covering one of two healthcare topics. A winner will be chosen on merit.
Imagine America High School Scholarship
The Imagine America Foundation created its Imagine America High School Scholarship Program in 1998 to help provide scholarships for high school students. This annual scholarship program has helped thousands of high school seniors afford a career education at hundreds of career schools across the United States. Each year, every high school in the United States and Puerto Rico may nominate up to five graduating seniors to receive a $1,000 Imagine America scholarship!
McLean DDS Medical Scholarship
McLean DDS supports students pursuing a medical degree. Through the McLean DDS Medical Scholarship, we award the winning student $1,000 to be used toward his or her degree. In addition, we award $250 book scholarships to the two runners-up.
Health Careers Scholarship Program
The Health Careers Scholarship Program was started in May 1976. It is supported through individual contributions of the Order's members. Since there is no set budget, the number of scholarships available may vary from year to year.Students preparing for careers in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physical or occupational therapy, and medical technologies are eligible to apply. A student must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen, enrolled full time in a school accredited in the field involved and application must be for at least the third year of college. R.N. students must have completed the first year of schooling. Pre-med students are not eligible to apply. For those students seeking degrees of M.D. or D.D.S. application must be for at least the second year of medical or dental school. There is no age limit. Scholarships are for $1000.00.Requests for applications must include a stamped, self-addressed legal size envelope.
Kenneth & Leila Morris Dental Scholarship
Priorities for this scholarship are as follows:1. First priority is for students from the Bismarck-Mandan area who are third of fourth year students of dentistry.2. If there are no applicants from the Bismarck-Mandan area in any given year, the scholarship may be awarded to a student of dentistry from anywhere in North Dakota.3. If according to the previous two preferences there are no eligible applicants, the scholarship may be awarded to a student of medicine from the Bismarck-Mandan area or if no applicants from the Bismarck-Mandan area, then statewide.
Priority application deadline is June 15th. Please apply before this date to be considered for priority selection. Applications received after this date will be considered based on available funds.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• Education Level: Any persons pursuing secondary education.
• Majors: Any major related to healthcare or science.
• Age: 17+
• You must be a legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, at least 17 years
of age, located in the United States or D.C. and on track to apply for or currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary educational programs located in the United States or D.C. (including accredited two and four-year colleges, universities, vocational-technical and trade schools).
• You’ll have to identify the specific secondary education program, college or certificate/degree option you want to get into, or for which you need funds. You may be looking to enroll or already enrolled in this secondary educational program.
• You must be willing to work with Landau’s Scholarship Management team throughout the application and award process.
MHEC Graduate and Professional Scholarship Program
Who may apply: Degree-seeking graduate and professional students.
How to apply: Complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. Also, contact the financial aid office of the institution you will attend and ask to be considered for a Graduate and Professional Scholarship.
When to apply: Contact the financial aid office of the school you will attend for their deadlines.
Eligible majors: Graduate and professional programs in dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, and veterinary medicine.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
You must be a Maryland resident and demonstrate financial need. You must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student, either part-time or full-time, and attend one of the following schools: University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Pharmacy, or Social Work; University of Baltimore School of Law; The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, or certain Maryland institutions offering a master’s degree in nursing or social work or a first professional degree in pharmacy.
FINANCIAL NEED
Applicants are ranked on basis of the student need as demonstrated on the FAFSA.
AWARD AMOUNT
The minimum award is $1,000 per year and the maximum award is $5,000 per year. Funds may not be available to award all eligible students.
RENEWING AN AWARD
You may receive an award for a maximum of eight semesters if you remain enrolled in an eligible program; maintain the satisfactory academic progress standards of your institution; file a FAFSA each year, and demonstrate need. The institution determines eligibility for renewals.
