AFA Leader and Academic Scholarships
Agriculture Future of America provides support to future leaders in agriculture from across the country through the AFA Leader and Academic Scholarship program. Scholarships seek to identify young leaders in the agriculture and food industry to enter AFA’s leader development program and receive an academic scholarship to support their academic education. AFA awards 40-50 National Leader and Academic Scholarships annually.
AFA provides 30-35 AFA Leader and Academic Scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors or current college students , enrolling/enrolled in a agriculture-related, four-year degree program in the United States. These scholarships are supported by AFA Organizational Partners.
Eligibility Requirements:
All scholarships include leader development award to attend the AFA Leaders Conference (November of scholarship year in Kansas City, Mo.), of which full attendance is required to receive the full academic scholarship. (Dates of AFA Leaders Conference - see website)
Academic scholarship may be used for tuition and fees only. This may include books if paid for through a university charge account.
Students must be enrolled in, or enrolling in, an agriculture-related, four-year degree program.
Students must be a citizen of the United States of America to be eligible for AFA scholarship awards. International students studying in the United States are not eligible
Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of career vision and goal, leader and community involvement, and financial need.
Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Farm Plus Financial Scholarship
Farm Plus Financial is now accepting applications for Agricultural Scholarship. The goal of this scholarship is to support young leaders who will go on to be the future of the agriculture and food industry. By providing a financial scholarship to these students, we hope to help educate the future generation. The Farm Plus Financial scholarship award recipients will receive a one time $1000 scholarship that can be used towards their education.
To submit your application, you must be either a graduating high school senior or a current undergraduate student enrolled in an agriculture-related degree program. Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of career vision and goal, leader and community involvement, and financial need.
Agriculture Scholarship Details
Scholarships are available to students across the nation.
The same application will be used for all scholarships offered by Farm Plus Financial.
Farm Plus Financial scholarships are for undergraduate tuition only unless approved written consent is provided otherwise.
Recipients may not be awarded more than one Farm Plus Financial scholarship per academic year.

California Farm Bureau Scholarship Foundation
The California Farm Bureau Scholarship Foundation was organized to give aid to students with a desire to pursue a career in the agricultural industry. The scholarships are awarded annually based upon academic achievement, career goals, extracurricular activities, determination, leadership skills, and a commitment to study agriculture. Who is eligible? Any undergraduate student entering or attending a four-year accredited college or university in California and pursuing a career in the agricultural industry. Students entering or attending a junior college are not eligible. Students must be a resident of the State of California. How many scholarships are given, and in what amount? Each year, the Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors determine the award amounts depending on the funds available. In recent years, the range has been $1,800 to $2,750, for approximately 30 recipients each year.
The Cedarcrest Farms Scholarship
Scholarship award to a student enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies seeking a degree in large animal veterinary practice, dairy production, dairy manufacturing or dairy product marketing. Initial approach: Letter. Limited to residents of Ohio.
Two-Year College Scholarship Program
First-year agricultural students at two-year colleges are invited to apply for 50 $750 scholarships from the CHS Foundation. Student eligibility: Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the scholarships. Incomplete applications will not be considered. * At the time of application the student will be in his or her first year of study at a two-year institution. The scholarship is intended for use during the second year of study. * Students will be studying an agricultural-related major * Students are only eligible to win the scholarship once * Applications must be completed.
University Scholarship Program
Students currently studying agriculture at select universities around the nation may be eligible to apply for a CHS Foundation University Scholarship. Nearly 150 $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually. Student eligibility: Scholarship recipients are selected by the following criteria: * Students are working towards an agricultural-related degree to pursue a career in agribusiness or production agriculture * Students will be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year; students are eligible to receive the scholarship multiple years * First preference will be given to students with an interest in agricultural-based cooperatives; this may include, but not be limited to students who have: o Demonstrated interest through educational experiences focusing on cooperatives, which may include, but is not limited to international study tours, professional development, conferences, job shadowing, current membership/involvement with an agricultural cooperative o Interned, worked or plan to work for an agricultural-based cooperative o Taken a course covering cooperative business structure Please check the website for more information.
NDS / DMI Education & Communication Scholarship

These scholarships are provided to encourage undergraduate sophomores and junior students to pursue education or communication careers in dairy or food related industries. Major areas can include: Education, Social Media & Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Food Science, Nutrition (Human), and Journalism. Scholarships are based on leadership, experience, academic ability and interests in education or communications. Co-sponsored with Dairy Management Inc.

NDS / DMI Milk Marketing & Dairy Products Scholarship
(1st - $1,500; 2nd through 5th - $1,000)

These scholarships are provided to encourage undergraduate sophomores and junior students to pursue careers in marketing of milk or dairy products. Major areas can include: Dairy or Agricultural Marketing, Dairy Product Development, Dairy Quality Control or Testing, Dairy Foods or Nutrition, and Food Product Science. Scholarships are based on leadership, experience, academic ability and interests in Milk Marketing or Dairy Products. Co-sponsored with Dairy Management Inc.

NDS Sophomore Merit Scholarship
